Agree, this is our problem. We have no playmaker. I rate livermore as he is the work horse we need but Huddlestone and Meyler just shouldn't be starting....I'd rather Quinn in over Meyler any day and when Diame is back that will get Hudds out the starting lineup. Great players but just not showing it this season.
Well there are 3 slots, assuming SB persists with the tried and tested 352 so we have Huddlestone, Livermore, Meyler, Diame, Quinn and Ramirez, so there are 2 players per role there. I think we need a bit of pace up front and we are just about there (unless Harps hangs up his boots). I REALLY hope we sign Ramirez but his fee might be an issue.
Midfield seems like the biggest thing that could be upgraded. We could also use a new goalie, and another striker(someone young, lots of pace maybe Julian Green please). I think we have the foundations of a decent team if we can stay up.
Aluko was a free transfer and was the best player in the Championship, couldn't think of a much worse example of a bad transfer.
OK, OK. Point taken, but Sone had played under SB at Brum and it was Brucey's decision that he come to City. Without a doubt, it's quite conceivable that he could be good, but he does appear to not understand that he's a part of a team.

if harper decides to stay, I wouldn't want McGregor to be our no.1 next season so what you say makes no sense to me
