Sherwood's confirmed as the new Villa manager. Shame we've still got to play them, as they were a walkover with Lambert.
Surprised that Villa have given the job to Sherwood. I'm sure that Sherwood (despite making a pig's ear of things at Spurs) will, in time, make a half-decent manager, but is he really the one to keep Villa up? It's a massive gamble on their part, and if I was a Villa fan I'd be fairly miffed.
It's risky, but at least they didn't give it to one of the eternal failures that a lot of relegation threatened clubs do. I can see the logic behind it, as he did win a decent number of games in his time with us, but he had better players to do it with.
Shouldn't even be there. Serves them right after fielding a (kind of) ineligible player against Bristol City who went on to score the winner. To be honest I'd just kick them out of the competition from the start just for having the gall to be West Ham.
...and Reading have just gone 0-1 against Derby (Lawro has Derby chalked up for a 2-0 win). Anyone in a proper job would be sacked for being that incompetent.
Bent always looks disinterested while he's on the field.Another Adebayor. Both only interested in picking up their ridiculous pay packets. Reminds me of two comic characters from the past....Tired Tim and Weary Willie!
Yesterday's performance by West Ham was a tribute to this, apparently: St Valentine's Day Massace Part II: Revenge of the Baggies.
