For GODS SAKE!! Whats next....? A prolapsed Rectum, a dropped bollock or an inverted penis!!! How the **** do you get a collapsed lung from sitting on your arse playing video games all day whilst picking up £50000 a week? What is the translation of De Jong into english?... does it mean "he who has the constitution of an 80 year old man"? ****ing laughable!!!!.

I understand he exhaled a bit too vigorously when he realised how much he had earned for doing nothing over the last 6 months and then forgot to breathe in again. His physiotherapy will include some exta breathing lessons so he should be okay in future.

No excuses! ACS has managed for years with a prolapsed rectum and an inverted penis. He doesn't complain or skive off work.

Hmm very difficult to determine, If this is a spontaneous pneumothorax he might just be unlucky, but if his first pneumothorax at ajax was resultant of trauma then I think this might be the end for him. It's not very difficult to treat, and its also not very deadly but I can see this happening now quite frequently.

You don't think there was a clue in the price? A 15m+ player, club captain and his prime years still ahead of him on the market for 6m? Clubs were clearly wary as no offence, as a fully fit player he's way better than a midtable premier league side. Yet there were no other takers, no offer of European football? Had crock written all over him imo.

Massive shame for the lad but you lot have been had.

I'm sure he could have just run this off.

The good thing is he was over the various other injuries. He had a good record with injuries until his last season with Ajax. Obviously the question is whether the lung problem is going to re-occur. They seem to be suggesting he didn't have surgery last time? Or did he just not have this particular surgery? We took a risk on him and it may not pay off but way too early to be writing him off. Look at the likes of Santon and Ba. We were told we got them so cheap because they were perma crocks - then they made loads of appearances.

He might be Marveaux, he might not. One thing for sure, we ain't gonna see much of him this season if at all! I'd be inclined if we're safe to just bring him back after the summer.

Luuk De Jong grabbed a hat trick for PSV yesterday - his 17th, 18th and 19th of the season <laugh> I kid you not

Indeed but Luuk didn't look like he could score in a red light district nevermind a professional football league

Nasty old business a collapsed lung.

I have no experience of it personally, i'm also not a medical professional.
Am I entitled to an opinion despite this?

My honest thoughts are that De Jong should 'man-up' and stop whining like a little sissy-girl.

    <whistle>

I take exception to the phrase " little sissy girl".
Seems to me that if women were so pain adverse, we would all be only children.
There is nothing sissy about being female !

Hopefully, the surgery will rectify the problem and enable to him to continue his career. <ok>
The wonders of modern surgery techniques in the 21st Century might actually work for him.

Should it not work out as hoped, Siem can always look back in years to come and have a good old laugh with brother Luuk and reminisce on the good times they had fleecing Mike Ashley when they pretended to be professional footballers.
