    Preview
Sunderland travel to Valley Parade on Sunday to take on Bradford City in the fifth round of the FA Cup (KO 2.30pm).

The Black Cats were forced into a fourth-round replay against Fulham following a goalless draw at the Stadium of Light, but they ensured their progression with an emphatic 3-1 win at Craven Cottage.

Hugo Rodallega opened the scoring for the hosts but Gus Poyet’s side responded through a Marcus Bettinelli own goal, before strikes from Ricky Alavrez, his first for the club, and Jordi Gomez sealed a trip to Valley Parade.

Bradford, meanwhile, stole the headlines with a sensational 4-2 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Goals from Gary Cahill and Ramires put Jose Mourinho’s side in cruise control but the Bantams mounted a stunning response in West London, with former Black Cat Jon Stead striking before the break to provide hope for Phil Parkinson’s side.

With 15 minutes remaining it looked like glorious failure for the 2013 Capital One Cup finalists, but after Filipe Morais equalised the unthinkable happened as Andy Halliday blasted the Bantams ahead before Mark Yeates wrapped up victory in added time.

Bradford’s place in the fifth round is the first time they have reached this stage of the competition for 18 years, and the Black Cats will need to be on red alert with the Bantams pushing for a place in the League One play-offs.

Two former Black Cats are likely to play a key role for Parkinson’s side in Stead and Billy Knott, and James Hanson will also be looking to continue his rich vein of goalscoring form which has seen him net two in two.

The last time the two sides met was on Boxing Day in 2003 at the Stadium of Light, and the Black Cats will be hoping to enjoy a similarly commanding performance on Sunday with the Christmas cracker ending 3-0.

The reverse fixture, Sunderland’s last visit to Valley Parade, was equally fruitful ending 4-0 to the Lads, with Bradford’s last victory in the fixture coming in April 2000.

    Team News
    Bradford

First choice Jordan Pickford will not be facing his parent club and has not had permission to play in the competition, so Williams will step in as he did in the fourth-round win at Chelsea.

Striker Billy Clarke made his first start since December 20 in Monday night's win against MK Dons after recovering from a knee injury and will be hoping to retain his place, while Andy Halliday is pushing for a recall.

Recent signing Gary MacKenzie has yet to make his first appearance for the club and the on-loan Blackpool defender is hoping to feature.
    Sunderland
Midfielder Jack Rodwell will return to the Sunderland squad ahead of Sunday's FA Cup fifth round trip.

    Sunderland
Rodwell has missed the last four games as a result of suspension and a groin injury, but will be available for the game at the Coral Windows Stadium.

However, Gus Poyet has a doubt over full-back Anthony Reveillere, who limped out of Tuesday night's 2-0 defeat by QPR with a tight hamstring, while Emanuele Giaccherini (ankle) remains on the sidelines, although fellow midfielder Lee Cattermole (knee) is expected to return to training next week.

Cracking thread mate as usual mate <ok>

I can't wait for this game ....... absolutely everything's against us, the QPR match, their pitch, the media & entire country, their last result, etc etc etc.

Well bollix to it, I'm going up on the train, walking through Bradford with my head held high & expecting a glorious victory.

In my mind, and that of the people I know, there's no point doing owt else .......... Haway Sunderland, our support will be top class, whatever people say.

If Sunderland lose tomorrow I can guarantee 100% it won't be my fault <ok>

We have to beat these buggers. It should be a good exercise in digging deep & pulling together for the team. Hopefully they will stick their hands down their shorts and find some nads down there...

It wouldn't surprise me if I'm back in the south of France this year, I've no idea how the UK works any more.

Class Bri, but all that kick and rush/long ball footy nearly spoils the thread, Saunders, Beagrie, Windass, McCall, they were a canny enough team and we destroyed them with what looked great football to me. The sooner Cornelious f**k* off back to Planet of The Apes the better. How dare he knock that team.
It would beat the one he has put together.
