Our players that are out of contract are as follows:

    Harper
    Oxley
    Dudgeon
    Figueroa
    McShane
    Rosenior
    Quinn
    Sagbo

I think Oxley's extension depends on whether he does well at Hibernian, he's the number 1 goalkeeper there so even if he gets nothing here, I think they'll be interested in taking him. The others I'm not fussed about, it's probably harsh on Quinn and Rosenior so I'd maybe offer them a one year extension, but I can't imagine they'd want to stick around to be back up. Townsend signed an 18 month extension in January 2014, so I'd assume his contract is also up although I have a feeling his good form will see him return as back up to Robertson (especially as he'll count as home grown). There will also be a load of youth players leaving as well.

If we let them all go, it's a fair amount of wages freed up. Would you offer any of them an extension?

Interestingly, when Jahraldo-Martin signed in March 2013, he signed an 18 month deal. Should that not mean he's out of contract now? So is he at the club on non-contract terms or did they give him an extension?

Rosenior definitely. Covers both LB and RB, solid and dependable. And English.

I've just noticed that Townsend's loan has been cut short by Dundee United, because apparently Jackie MacNamara stated "he was one of a few players who he felt weren't mentally tough enough". Odd, I thought he was getting on rather well, but they've signed fan favourite Paul Dixon so maybe he wasn't willing to fight for his place, especially when he knows that Brucey really rates him. He'll probably get a club in the Championship, he's a decent larker.

Rosenior if we go down or stay up, Rosenior, Mcshane, and Quinn if we go down.

Quinn signed a contract before Christmas I think.

    I'd definitely keep Rosenior too.

I'd also like to keep McShane, but I doubt he'd want to be back up.

He was offered a contract, I'm not sure if he actually signed it or not. I think even he said he had almost signed it but I don't recall it being announced anywhere and the last thing I saw on the matter was an article in the HDM from the 19th of December, where he said he'd "left it to my agent". Perhaps his agent thinks they can get more if it looks like we'll stay up.

After the event of surviving the strong riptide of a second season syndrome. The Summer will certainly be Interesting in structuring a team for next season. I would offer Rosie & offload all the others.

Rosie, Quinn, maybe Oxley, depending if he's improved any, but I reckon the upcoming kids will be ahead of him, also if we go down then Macca would be offered but I don't see him staying either way, I think his times done here & he's now putting himself in the shop window. A bit like Fryatt last year.

We need to get rid and replace all of those. Rosie I might offer a year to, but I'd rather see him start to do more in the training side of things within the club.

I think we need to hold on to them, stabilize our position in the PL and then start to improve. We can't just have a clearout/replacement blitz.

What we need and what we can do is completely out of our hands and is affected by lots of factors involving money.

I said what I'd do, not what the club will do.

If we want to stabilise and then progress, we need to replace all of them. Will we? Probably not, but it's still what I would do if I were able to.

Hope that makes it clearer for you.

We need to offer them all a contract, so at least we'd be able to get a fee for them, even if it is £500k each. (Exclude Harper, Sagbo and Fig from that, they'll be released) Then as Bruce has always said he will only buy players if they are better than what we have, that could mean if we sign a new central midfielder to replace Huddlestone, that'll knock him to the bench, and either Quinn or Meyler out of the door, it would be sad to see but I can see it happening.

You've missed Alex Bruce off the list.

As far as we know, Bruce, Quinn and Rosie are all being offered new deals.

The others I expect to leave, with the possibly exception of Oxley, though I think it's more likely that he'll go than stay.

I expect we'll see all but Rosie, Quinn and possibly McShane to leave. Those guys have the passion and fight we still need, whilst freeing up some cash for new arrivals.
