That's surely down to the fact kids that young can't read but they can identify a tiger, before anyone says this is a good thing (not that it's bad either) I don't think toddlers are our target market.
I was being facetious, you know. Though she did say Hull City Tigers when she saw the badge and knew it was connected to the team dad and grandad support. Something which grandad quickly discouraged.
It'd be easy for the club to narrow down the entrants. All badge designs with "City" would fly straight to the bin.
Organise a demonstration in favour of the name change. Start a chant of "Dr Allam we say yes!" Or "Tigers 'Til We Die". I am sure the deafening noise will be full proof of all your assertions.
Try organising a CTID chant and Allam we say no outside the ground, before or after a game. The funny thing there is that both demonstrations would enjoy similar levels of support.
Try organising a pro name change chant inside the ground. Then we could compare how many people who have paid are in favour enough to outsing the ones against. One outside could be padded out with people bussed in by Allam and paid to support the name change. Which I wouldn't put past him.
I believe that there are times when people allow themselves to be too easily offended, I like the current design of badge, we have certainly had many worse attempts over the years, we have even had badges with "Hull City" wrote on them, but the tigers head looks more like a mutilated alley cat, (90-91 ish), don't even get me started on the Hinchcliffe/Buchanan attempt, not all badges have had "Hull City AFC" wrote on them. For what its worth, I am against the name change, and haven't paid to get in the KC since the manufactured dismissal of Nick Barmby.
ok I have pretty much not commented for a while now , but its not a case of "if your not against it, your for it" ... its more like "I don't give a **** either way" ... I do not know about happy but I am not against the name change if its in the best interest of the owners (ergo club) ... but I am also not Pro name change ... there is not one way or another ... there is a middle ground which unfortunately you do not realise lies the majority ( please don't use any silent majority crap , I have heard it all enough ) ... I respect the CTWD group and what they have achieved , but now it seems the same people are doing nothing short of bullying (turn of phrase) those who are not completely against it ... As you say , its over ... so try to instead of bait and abuse, work together as a supporters trust (HCST hows that for a name) and leave the abuse , hatred, and general "we are better than you" angle alone. As you say the club is bigger than any custodian (owner) and the fans are the rightful "owners" so to speak ... how about showing it as one and all and rising above it and lets concentrate on the game rather than the points scoring ... sorry for butting in but please take this constructively (both sides ... not pro or anti at all please both sides listen)
