Great thread diddles, I started out on VIctoria Bitter! Looking back that beer probably coated my guts for spirits wines etc <laugh> Drank beers in my teens but now onto bourbon, bunderberg rum would make me aggressive. Passion pop (cheap ****) would always give me a kick!

Flying in a few hours, trying my first VB beforehand. The missus says it's rank stuff that only bogans drink but I'm quite excited.

You're on mate. I've seen a bit of Victoria and New South Wales now... ****ing immense. WA and the NT don't interest me too much at the moment but Queensland is next and I hear very good things about the GC.

I'm not a big drinker at all, I drink socially only and that's at most once a month autumn through to spring, unless it's Christmas. In summer I drink a bit more, on a hot day I like a decent cider, nothing too sweet or flavoured to taste like a bird's handbag.

Do enjoy a beer as well, European preferably, Staropramen, Dortmunder, Budvar, Moretti.

If I'm having a spirit I'll usually choose a decent quality Vodka such as Ketel One, Sky or Goose and have that with Soda and fresh lime, I find the Smirnoff/Absolute/Budget ****e gives me a worse hangover.

It brings out my aggresive streak. The problem is i love the taste, and can handle a fair bit. But before i know it, out comes nutcase Nordic. So try to stick to beer. Vodka turns me into a drinking duracell. Fortunately i'm more sensible these days.....

I can drink anything and not get a hangover. That`s a sickener eh? Probably because my heed gave up trying to tell me I`m daft years ago.

I don`t go for lagers much purely because it goes straight through. One visit to the bog and I`m in and out like a fiddlers elbow.

Boddies DM Guinness. Oyster is a nice black beer but not that common as it tends more to be guest ale. Used to be very partial to a medicinal Mackeson. Don`t know if you can still get that.

Wines, spirits, ciders. I`ll drink owt except that Martini, Cinzano stuff. Tastes like perfume. I wouldn`t drink that muck if it`s all there was.

Got a bottle of Aberlour from the grandbabs at Xmas. 10 year old single malt. That is really nice. Just a sip now and again though as a treat.

Plenty of things on this thread I`ve never heard of. They will all need to be sampled of course. Cheers lads.

In the meantime I`ll stick to me brown beers & stouts.

Jagermiester is my favourite. Used to always drink beer when out but it lies a bit heavy on my stomach now so I have lager instead.
Partial to a vodka & coke or a g&t. I also like Pimms on a warm summer evening.
Rarely get hangovers but I'm often dehydrated in the morning.

Try a pint of water before sleep mate. Hard to do when you're pissed i know. Nothing better for a hangover than re hydrating properly before the hangover arrives. Prevention is easier than removal. If a pint doesn't work, drink more water. Hydrating before you start drinking helps too.

The first sentence says I can drink anything I like and I don`t get hangovers. Thanks for the tip though.

I`d probably drink less if I got punished.

I always have a bottle of water/orange squash/coconut water by the bed, I can guarantee you every time I wake up at 4am for a drink after being out on the piss, it's ****ing empty on the floor by her bedside.

I nicked some of that of the father in law when he had a chronic back issue, good stuff.

Work great with Amoxicillin as a zombiemaker, I swear I lost full days on that cocktail. <laugh>

You can get a zombiemaker in one pill. It's called olanzapine. I'm not allowed it anymore. :(

If you were the least bit thoughtful you`d prepare a drink for your good lady and put it by her bed side.

If you do that she won`t drink yours.

If you do that and she still drinks yours then pour it ower the selfish bitches heed.
