Anyone recently brought a new tv? Just looking now, pretty much made my mind up but wondered if anyone had any thoughts.
4k is just taking off and will be a lot cheaper in a few years so don't spend a lot on a non-4k TV if you're likely to want to upgrade
Don't cheap out as you'll be such with it for a while. You can't go too big either, you soon get used to it
The one I've been looking at mainly is below and 99% going to get it. 42 inch, 4k UHD, smart tv, 4k upscalling, built in wifi, magic remote. £500. Can't really go any bigger because of size of the lounge and where sofa would be. http://www.lg.com/uk/tvs/lg-42UB820V please log in to view this image
I got 42" because the Mrs (nm) said anything bigger would be too big (had 40" previously), gutted now as it seems tiny to me
Looks like a nice one There's not much 4k content right now but if you like to take photos they look amazing
Netflix have 4k streaming and it has up scaling so it'll upscale normal hd into 4k (from what I gather)
4k bluray isn't out until next year PS4 has bluray but I think 4k bluray would need a hardware upgrade
