    You would think ?!?
Yes, he lost the ball occasionally.... But... He lost it trying to do the right thing IMO

Still don;t know why he didn't start yesterday - if we needed someone on the left wing then play someone capable of playing there rather than Gomez!!!!

Great penalty taker Jordi - but that's about it!!

He is the key to our survival, only Gus cant see it and prefers to play championship no-hopers like four he picked last night.

Problem for me is on Sunday I cannot see Alverez being any good on that pitch the ball bobbles all over and he will keep losing control of it but you never know

I think you will find that an ice rink is considerably smoother than that pitch <laugh>

Controlling a football is one thing - running with a football when you arent sure which way it's going to go is something completely different!

Down to fitness in my opinion. The lad is just coming back from a long injury lay off and had played two matches within the last 7 days - I don't blame Gus for resting him. If he'd started and gotten injured in the first 10 minutes Gus would have gotten pelters. The team he picked should have been good enough to get a result at home to QPR imo.

I've been saying this since the second he regained fitness. I'd like to know what makes Vergini so special he can start most games and gets time to adapt with playing time and not Alvarez or Giacc? Oh yeah, our coach, who was a very attacking player, is scared ****less to put out attacking teams, oh yeah, that's our fault as well <doh> Shame on us lads! Wanting attacking football is wanting **** football remember. And Gus' spineless pathetic team fearing tactics is propper football. Remember that lads. <doh>

Since when has all Italian surfaces been like the Emirates on day one of the season? Italian league is full of **** holes, he'll have played poor pitches many times. They'll be top tear Italian teams with the pitch budget of a league two side, most of the Italian league is skint. Worth remembering before the lad is written of as unable to play at Bradford.

I don' think South American pitches are perfect either this is a poor reason not to pick the best team

Agreed. Nations where kids learn to control the ball using tin cans on rubbled ground.

For me only Alvarez and PVA are the only one looking like hitting the by line and assisting Defoe. Our deep crosses are easily dealt with. Defoe, Alvarez and PVA would be three guaranteed starters for Sunday if it were up to me.

Agree with this, and I would add Rev to this trio.

Well lets just hope that when he does one of them there sharp turns his knees stay in place pointing the right way - hopefully that's not a prophecy <yikes>

Same applies to the whole team for me. Can't play football without twisting and turning. I'd be more inclined to fear for O'Shea, not the most subtle and flexable of frames is he? Stiff as a bloody board. <laugh>

Aye but a carthorse is more suited to a ploughed field than a thoroughbred <laugh> - just a joke JOS
