I think the manager is just sturbbon and likes self glory even at the detriment of the team. Playing robben behind rvp worker at the world cup and people called him a genius, he tried that with united playing di maria upfront which didn't work. It took lots of fans pressure to make him switch from 3-5-2 ( I know he's still coming back to that formation anyway). And van gaal thinks u must have 2 strikers to score lots of goals. In reality, some strikers perform better as a lone striker and falcao is one of them. Playing with a lone striker makes the midfield stronger. I think we need 2 very good central midfielders (at least one box to box) to be able to be comfortable with 2 strikers. The only other way to play with 2 strikers and have a strong midfield is to play 3-5-2 and we already see how that works. It doesn't have place for real wingers.
