Any time I've ever been in all I've seen are massive tubs of salad... and those examples of the different breads they do
ehats different between bread in a sand which and dough on a pizza? Both pretty much the same ingredients and both go into an oven. I had my subway toasted as well so extra cooking involved also I only had cucumber, I very rarely have any extra salad on it. Italian bmt with cheese toasted and chipotle sauce
I always have the italian herbs bread, toasted and with peppered cheese. I have lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion, jalapenos and gherkins every time too
Maybe in Brighton a Subway is considered a 'takeaway' but here in the civilised North, they're not Just out of interest, go to hungry horse, put your postcode in and tell me how many sandwich shops come up.
I would have agreed at one time but I think salad makes burgers and sandwishes so much better nowadays.
Didn't know about that website - just put my postcode in and not a single sandwich shop has come up and we have a Subway a few hundred yards away plus we have at least 3 posh takeaway delis and they haven't come up either Does your 'cob' shop do chips?
Can't say I've ever seen subway on there but the subways near me don't deliver so they wouldn't. IMO, any food venue where you can buy food and take it away with you is a takeaway. No but the chip shops do cobs
Take away is anywhere that sells food as their primary source of product that you couls but don't have to sit on their premise to eat in my view it's either a take away or a restaurant.
Just Eat include breakfast deliveries which is hardly a 'takeaway' . I think we'll have to agree to disagree on what a 'takeaway' is because I don't think that generally speaking people consider sandwich shops and breakfast barms as takeaway in the sense that I think gonzo meant when he started the thread. No doubt he will tell us what he had in mind. He could have just said what's the best food you've bought in a shop and took away to eat.
I think its one of those things where the actual word would suggest a lot more than it actually means. If someone said "do you fancy a takeaway" I'd be thinking Indian, Chinese, pizza etc. Basically, somewhere you would ring up and order food for it to be delivered. I would think it meant going to McDonalds or KFC etc. But the word 'takeway' would suggest it is any venue that allows you to take food away from the premises, whether that be by yourself or a delivery person. I'm only debating on the latter technicality, in reality I'd agree with you
****ing hell, we've finally reached 10 on the puerile scale. Arguing about what constitutes a take away ffs
Don't worry Tobes, one day Everton will get three points and you'll be able to talk about takeaways too PS...bet you were shocked to see I was involved in this conversation
