What was even better to me; was the that Villa's cb Okore gave an interview to the press before the game stating he wasn't worried about N'Doye.

He looks very useful, his hold up play, first touch, and link up play with Jelevic really looks very promising.

I think Dawsons comment is key. The point is that with N'Doye and the Jellyfish up front their threat makes everyone look better. McGregors punts upfield have a real target now, as do crosses from Elmo, Robertson, Brady et al. Quick balls upfield from Thudd become immediately dangerous and bursts forward from Livermore or Diame will cause chaos as they draw defenders away - we are so much more of an attacking threat and that in itself protects our defence. A good signing in every way. In my opinion.

^ ****ing this all day long...we had 9 players defending for most of the night like we did at Man City....keep doing this and we'll soon pick up points.

N'Doye for £2.2m is a great business. Hernandez was a terrible one.

No one gets everything right but the £12m that we got for Long is now looking more like money well spent. Let's face it £12m for two PL forwards isn't such a massive price to pay in the scheme of things, and I honestly believe that it will be easier for Hernandez to come good in a side that isn't worried ****less about being in a relegation dogfight, yeah I'm confident.

It's obviously very early days but I think N'Doye is looking like providing a massive piece of the jigsaw, well done to everyone that managed to get him here.

Problem is Hernandez is now 3rd choice if there's no injuries (knock on wood) so he probably won't get mach time on the pitch...

There will undoubtedly be injuries, along with substitutions, so he will get some game time.

N'Doye was bought for the here and now because Hernandez wasn't up to it yet. Let's hope we stay up and Hernandez gets a full pre-season to help his development (and his endurance, which is not there at the moment).

Best one I think we could use for him would be using the much covered Steam (not a real band) song, Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye.

"Na na na na, na na na na, hey-ey hey , N'Doye"

The thing is N'Doye is an unknown quantity, so after a few games teams will look at him & might come up with a way to stop him. One game doesn't make a player, never has, but it's a great start.

As his name is pronounced Dam, any reference to dames obviously doesn't work.
