Best player we've signed for many a year. Chilton II imho. Where's his Waggy ? He even had some defensive acumen.

we have got the striker that we need to fire us up the table. Him partnered up with Jeli seem to be the missing link that we needed.

Daws being interviewed last night said, "get the ball up to these two, unplayable" ... Bang on

We've signed the next Michu, absolute quality. It's a shame he is almost 30 though, it would of been better if he was a few years younger, however I doubt we'd of got him for £2.2m if that was the case.

We were up against a team that have a decent defensive record, and Jelavic and N'Doye battered their defence. QPR have been known this season to be very leaky in defence, I can just imagine them both absolutely battering Caulker and Dunne, and once again giving us the platform to attack and have a real go at them.

One minute Robertson was the next Roberto Carlos and we shouldn't let him go for less than £14m, a couple of weeks later he makes a few mistakes and he can't get in the team and nobody is calling for him to be in it.

N'Doye was good last night, but let's not get carried away.

Hopefully Bruces early substitution of Jelavic will enable him to be for for the next game. I am not sure i would change anything if we can.

Thought Noddy had a very good solid first start. Could also help Hernandez as there shouldn't be the pressure on him now to score and be a success.

We haven't got another game for ten days, I'm sure he'll be fine.

I went to bed last night safe in the knowledge that we now have a striker who can trap a ball.

N'Doye was outstanding last night and thoughly disserved the MOM. Good hold up play and he terrorised the Villa defence and his goal was class. Let's hope he can keep it up.

I was just thinking the exact same thing, some people have a tendency to go over the top with these things.

He had a great game and looks the part but it was at home against one of the worst teams in the league, there are tougher tests ahead for him.

To a few overexcitable people. He hasn't really been one of our best defenders at any time. But we are so used to average crossing and an average threat on the wing that some got overexcited with him.

Diame when fit also gave defenses problems. So he's still needed and we need less of these injuries to players who could make a difference.

I don't think it's getting carried away to say N'Doye was brilliant last night. Because he was. Looks the complete package to me. Movement, strength, ball control, pressurising the oppo defence, finishing (aside from that ****y header)... outstanding.

Dame and Doye is easily among the top 10 strikers in the premier league, we're going to struggle to keep hold of him in the summer. He'll be off to Chelsea or Liverpool.

Just think its been so long since we had a forward that looks the part ( jelly apart) Villa were poor, but it was good to see there cb's panicking almost every time he got the ball

Don't like to dampen things but I think if he does have an off game I think he will look dire. I was impressed how he kept the ball on the move with his back to goal.

Hang on, in recent times we've not even looked like scoring against teams of a similar ilk to Villa, such as Burnley, WBA (twice!), Leicester and who could forget Newcastle. Even looking like scoring against the poorer teams is exactly what we've been missing, oh and playing with a SOLID three at the back.

So forgive me if I get a little excited but that's now two games, one against the current champions, where we've looked like we have our mojo back. Also let's not forget that last night gave us our first clean sheet for over two months, and only our third of the season.

The combination of having two 'proper' forwards and three central defenders that are more interested in defending than looking to see what the latest gem is that their agent has come up with on Twatter fills me with optimism.

Bring on the Drama's, town full o'...

Plus with the return in the next couple of weeks of Diame adding a goal threat from midfield.
