Smug, I'm 1000000% with you on that.

We need a manager with foresight and who makes his players believe they are better than they are, no better man than McClaren, been saying it for a while.

Gus lives in his 'I played for Chelsea' bubble and thinks he has some god given right to preach, lets not forget he was a water carrier in that Chelsea side.

Blinkers off now, he is not good enough, no foresight, no plan B, C or dare we say A, belittles his players and opposition.

He thinks he's better than the likes of QPR and that is a failing in the extreme.

We will not progress under such a weak, pompous man.

Gus didn't work a 'miracle' he had 31 games, he outs us there and fortune got us out. He's ****ing useless. I've had it with the daft **** after tonight, had it.

Our squad is 12th at worst, our manager is Championship at best.

    1. Green, Zamora, Barton, Krankier and Philips always look good against us, add that to the seasons statistics, a clueless manager and a team full of lead soldiers (first half) and paper tigers (second half) and this result should not surprise anybody who supports Sunderland, but it still hurts

It looked like under Bruce mate, whereas the team don't believe they are good enough.

They are good enough, so when you have an under-performing group, lacing belief, its 'leader' has to go.

Do we accept this every ****ing year? No, I'll take a new gaffer a year until we get one with the minerals. He's a ****ing coward Gus. No question, a ****ing coward.

I'm still very much in support of Gus. I want the same manager for a few seasons, ****ing tired of doing badly, changing managers and doing ok and then doing badly.

Maybe some consistency will allow us to actually move forward. We won't go down, I am pretty certain of that.

If at the end of next season we are still battling relegation then I'll actually want us to go down as then something might actually ****ing change.

I can absolutely guarantee if we get a new manager we will have a burst and win some games, but then I am also fairly certain we'll go on a bad run and people will want the new manager out.

It's a cycle we've experienced for years now. Stick with Gus (unless we're clearly going down, which at this moment we aren't) and see where we go.

Gus has got us to Wembley, overseen some fantastic results including 3 wins over the Mags.

We've performed brilliantly in the cups compared to other managers.

There will always be bad days, and we've had a lot, but I have seen enough to think we should stick with Gus and allow him to try and pull us forward.

His comments in the press need to be reigned in, he is doing himself no favours, whether or not he has a point.

I am still supporting Gus, he is better than Bruce and better than MON, he needs some more time as he inherited a lot of these players.

What pisses me off if we never look to go out and beat teams, its always stand back defend soak up pressure. Why don't we get the ball down, go forward with it and put teams under pressure. We do it once were 1 or 2 down, why not do it from the start.

Mate, we have won 4 out of 25. We needed an act of god last season, and he slates the lads every 3 weeks.

He's a ****ing liability, we need to stop the whole 'ooh we play better football' bullshit and realise he's a big issue, he hasn't the ability to change it.

Every single one of us, die hard fans, would pick a different side every week man, that's a fact.

I don't think there's a cat in hell's chance Ellis will get rid of Gus at this stage of the season! He's gone through managers like my ex through credit cards! Fast and furious! I think he'll give this one a full season, gambling on Defoe delivering.

Gus is here until the summer, at least.

Looking at the fixtures I still think 3 wins and a few draws will make us safe. And those wins will probably come away from home. This team seems frozen with fear at home. There's no sense of urgency from the first whistle, which is worryingly ridiculous, whereas away, there's more fluidity in their game.

KTF guys. We'll be okay. Catts is coming back!

I agree, Ellis won't shoot, and we will stay up, but the facts are he simply isn't good enough.

Look at the heads mate, a McClaren, a proper coach, in theory gets Rodwell performing, gets shape across midfield, picks the best players and we are immediately far superior with zero investment.

Gus is a prick, away from his ability, or lack of, he's a self important ****ing idiot. We will not progress with a man of his calibre, no way.

At least Bruce, MON had some humility.

We looked beaten from the off tonight, it was last chance saloon for Rangers and they knew it, four or five of their players always perform well against us and to be fair to them they have a decent squad, but the big clanger was leaving an inform player out , it was suicide and Gus bless him is out of his depth.

Strange that Alvarez isn't playing. But AJ has been decent recently.
not to mention more handballs in the box. On another day 2 of them at least go in. Not poor finishing as all were good attempts. Green was busier than costel and made some good saves.

On the McLaren thing... Agree he's a cracking manager and probably the only one I'd want to replace Gus if he goes (and I'm on the Gus in brigade) but why the hell would he come here when the fans will turn on him so quickly? Happens with every manager. If we win on Sunday and next Saturday this will be forgotten and everyone will change their minds again.

How the **** Gomez gets a game is way beyond me though! Particularly when playing that formation! Alvarez I thought wouldn't work hard enough... Am thinking Gus thought the same but he proved us all wrong.

Gus ****ed that up from the off. Gomez is ****e, so is AJ, we do every thing to slow. We never attempt the right pass, our CM can't impose themselves on games. ****ing ****e. Deserved to get beat. That was shambolic.

Looked much better once gomez went off.

To be honest from what I have been hearing Ellis might be off before Gus.
