Was surprisingly creative and courageous and his plan worked. Went to a place Manchester City hate and won by two goals. Kept Defoe quiet too! Well done Chris.... And you Kevin.... Thanks
According to those who watched the stream, he had the players pressing for their lives. Redknapp never got that out of them. Right, I'm off to watch the game re-run on sky!! Happy days.
More than happy with him staying...........will he be there to take 3pts from Hull ? Shame we dont play this saturday
Exactly, what a difference, got that optimism back !!!!!! Villa, Burnley & West Brom all with difficult games ahead
I think 3 points tonight will have given TF something to think about... But in all likelihood he'll probably only be here till the end of the season when TFs 'dream manager' will arrive - and yet, what odds that if he really turns things around in that time TF might just end up deciding to stick and not twist.
Alleged quote from Barton... @Murray_Burnell: Barton: "The training intensity has gone up. The standard in training has gone up. It's the best we've warmed up all season. By a mile."
Interesting that Ramsey spoke about the importance of the warm up in match preparation. Never had a sense of that before.
I've always been happy with Ramsey until the end of the season, and longer if he keeps us up. Played a much higher pressing game, moved the ball much quicker and more confidently and looked really good first half. Looked like 4-2-3-1 to me and the 3 Nico, Fer and Phillips were very good. Rode our luck a bit second half, Green superb. A point or 3 at Hull and LR will be a cauldron for the Arsenal game.
Bugger. First game I've missed on my home patch in 4 years and it sounds like we played a belter - full of soul and passion. Ramsey certainly deserves a chance to win the job for himself if he can get them up like that. I hope the penny has finally dropped that there is plenty of talent out there and it does not have to be someone with a so-called glittering past and a reputation even though he may never have won anything of note. Promotion a couple of times and one FA Cup against a second tier team
Can anyone substantiate if Barton said that? (Seagull won't see this as she has me on ignore) If that is the case, then the main Coaching problem would appear to have been Jordan. Redknapp didn't take training, he only watched them from afar so Jordan & Bond's sessions had something seriously wrong with them. Is Bond still sh*t or was it really Jordan holding him back? Is it simply a case of Ramsay upping the tempo and Bond being relegated to putting out the cones? I always had Bond down as the main culprit but I could have been wrong.
