Wow, great win in the end. Well done lads.....thank god for Ighalo. Such a vital win to keep up with the others in view of the other results, but particularly important to beat Brentford in view of Norwich's form behind us
Never doubted for a moment that we would miss a penalty, take until added time to score a winner and beat 10 men. No problem........
According to the Sky reporter, the penalty was harsh - must say it wasn't easy to see clearly from the picture they showed at the time but it was definitely a poor kick by TD.
Back home from the game, much better performance than Saturday but still room for improvement. Great atmosphere in the ground and in the pubs nearby. Definite red card for the foul on Layen. Poor penalty from Troy. Two well taken goals from Ighalo and some very happy hornets at the end
We have now won two games in a row that perhaps we might not have..... yes... .are we now turning our season around....
A real battle but we got the job done in the end against a decent side. We certainly started well but Brentford seem to get better when they went down to 10 (looked like a red card to me as it was a risky and dangerous high risky tackle) Thought the penalty miss was going to sum up our night but that man popped up with the goals again. Credit to Paredes for his assist - took quite a lot of stick but he did set up the equaliser whilst Vydra did very well for his cross. Roll onto Bolton.
thats great mex its nice to see faces i dont do that much on face book but id chat with any watford fan anytime
A great performance and a great day out. We battled well when we had to and we played some very good football when we could, shame about the penalty miss, but hopefully it will give Deeney a bit of a kick. One item off of my "to do" list - had a drink in all 4 pubs on each corner of the ground and as I am off the beer, it was a red wine in each pub! Got home rather late as we stopped off on the way home to carry on the celebrations! Onwards and upwards!
Thanks Mex - I missed the commentary last night thanks to Hornet Player - it was easier to count the drop ins than the drop outs I gave up in disgust early on and went back to work... To whoever it was who stopped the live streaming of Championship matches - may the fleas from a thousand camels infest your armpits.
These dropouts are strange. Out here the first half there were none. Second half there were some, and they became worse as the game went on. I tried to switch to the Brentford commentary and they we also down, so I assumed that it was something with the systems at the ground. I have had a really good service for all of the season, even when I have been watching a stream and listening to HP. Are you on Twitter BB? Jon Marks might have an idea what is going on.
I am - and am surprised I hadn't thought of contacting him - possibly he would have been too busy during the match anyway. Will see what he has to say...
Games like this, and Blackburn, we would have lost in the last couple of seasons. I really rate Jokanovic, he is forming a team of players who are working as a team and they have a desire and a fight that we haven't seen in a long while. It's not always pretty, but slowly but surely he's getting the job done. i'm loving it!
