As of yet West Ham are the big spenders with Kevin Nolan costing 4M We have spent 3M 75OK Peltier 1.2M St Ledger 1M Schmeichel
How do you know for a FACT that no prem clubs are interested or will be interested? you dont, secondly, i hope you get it this time WE WONT SALE TO ANOTHER CHAMPIONSHIP CLUB despite what you offer, you could make a offer of 50M (which you obviously wont) and we still wouldnt accept because we dont need to! You say ambition yet most of the players you've come in for this season have rejected you, Yakubu, Makail-Smith and you WONT get Maynard... so if your club was that special dont you think these kind of player would jump at the chance to join? Oh and by the way, im not sure why other clubs fans seem to think we struggle for money, we dont, infact we have one of the richest backers in this league! Maynard will either sign for us or sign for a prem club simple as that!!!!!
Oh a Bristol fan has said it so it must be true Get over yourself, just because you think that dont make it the truth. Maynard has got the 2 clubs dangling on a piece of string. Its down to him what happens and im sure his agent will be doing everything in his power to get Maynard to Leicester
We have ambition? Who is your manager? who have you made bids for? who are your transfer targets? Maynard will be asking himself this? When do you expect to get promotion? If your club has this money/backing then why are they not investing it?
No you will. If we offered you £6m tomorrow he'd be on the way to Leicester by tea time. Check the rewording of your chairman a few weeks ago, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. It's no longer 'we won't sell to a Championship club', He 'wouldn't wish to sell to a Championship club' As for Yakubu - we had him last season you muppet. As for Mackail-Smith - we weren't that bothered. Do you seriously think he would have gone to Brighton if we had gone all out for him? Get real. Brighton obviously were more desperate. Please tell me what great players you've signed or even attempted to sign? You never seem to have an answer for that. Anyway it's just a dreadful experience talking to Bristol fans, what a bunch of insufferable whinging bunch of children you are.
http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/tra...ity-Nicky-Maynard-rejected-article761318.html Maybe it wasnt us who bid for Maynard. And apparantly 4M is the asking price if thats the case then i think we will be the only team in the running
IMO we have already bid over the odds for Maynard, and well above his true valuation. However, this is a signing that I think the club, manager and owners all want to happen. So, I believe we should make the following bid - £4.25m + £250K IF promoted this year + 25% sell-on + Waghorn on a season long loan + one of Logan, N'Guessan, Neilson or Kennedy. If they declined that bid, then we should just move on and wait until he becomes a freebie.
Arrogant...nah its all fun and games But back on topic - Messi wouldnt be good enough to get in our superstar team that will dominate europe next year, after we win the FA cup this year!
Certainly the signings that we have made so far will be attractive to other prospective recruits. A player with ambition could not fail to be impressed . Wonder how ambitious Maynard really is ?
I think we should go for Bothroyd instead if he's still available on a free. Maynard is a good player no doubt but maybe one to revisit in the future if we are able, maybe even on a free then. Don't think there;s any sense paying well over the odds when there are as good as if not better players available cheaper.
All this Bristol crap about Maynard wont sign for another championship team. I think Reading felt the same way and look what has happened. Matt Mills has came home Money talks.
I think Sven will still up it for Maynard, to over £5m. I think he senses they will accept a bid which is around that mark. If we don't get him though, I would definitely go for Bothroyd.
http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/tra...eos-wants-reunion-at-Foxes-article762105.html It says we have made a bid of 4.5M for Nicky Maynard
I think Bothroyd is too stubborn, big-headed and full of himself to move to another Championship club (especially at 28, or whatever age he is). That completely undeserved England call-up has gone to his head.
