3-2 FT. Bullshit. Looked quite jaded from the Goon game on the weekend. **** officials, too. Dier's down and bleeding. Great.
Yup I've noticed that in the past. Pretty vile. Vaguely acceptable for those playing due to exercise, but not if you're sitting on the bench.
Well played yourselves, was a good game and very tight, Two good teams tonight, although defensively we need to be better.
Hope Dier is ok, he was great at times tonight I thought. Rose was torn to pieces all night and I don't think its any coincidence that Liverpool got the majority of their joy down that side tonight. Bentaleb missed his man a couple of times while trying to help him out which didn't help. We actually played pretty well and I'm not too angry we lost, its really annoying to pull it back twice and lose it in that manner though, especially to a Balotelli goal like that. I don't really know if we can critique anything in the team selection or subs, individual errors added up in the first half and they all cost us in the end.
Urgh, shame to lose that with 3 points up for grabs going into the final 10. We've done it plenty of the time this season though. Thought we played alright and it was an even, exciting match. Dowd gave a lot of weird decisions both ways, anything could be a booking in his weird World. Not a complaint about the result but I don't understand why only 20 seconds extra was played, we didn't get to take our freekick until thirty seconds into stoppage time and then Sakho went down "injured" which resulted in Kane getting one of the many nonsense bookings handed out. Did Fergie time die with his career, or is it one of the many pick and choose rules for refs?
Liverpool deserved win. Spurs should not of had the free kick and Kane was offside for Spurs 2nd goal. And then Sturridge should of had a 2nd penalty. Fair result
I thought that the way that we set up today wasn't suited against Liverpool's formation. Their fullbacks were providing a lot of width which we didn't seem to have anyone out there to deal with. Our substitutions have been good recently, but I thought they were all wrong today. Dembele was excellent and a constant problem, Eriksen gets lots of late goals and Paulinho didn't suit the pace of the game.
Should bounce back against West Ham, if we don't then we are in trouble. Spurs are settled and we gave Liverpool a game.
This week's episode of The Phil Dowd Show was entertaining then? 9 bookings to make sure the star keeps top billing.
Well, it was a good game. Credit to Liverpool. I thought we were always going to lose that one. Whenever the score was even they looked far likelier to score the next goal. Good effort from our players, other than standing off them in our box too much from time to time. I didn’t think our problem was so much our play as our tactics. They had more good chances by picking their spots to intercept and break. Dowd was comically bad. The first goal kick which should have been a corner reminded me of the prediction that fat Phil wouldn’t be able to get down in time to make those decisions correctly. Clear pen we should have had when Mignolet hauled Kane down without touching the ball. The first Liverpool pen was a pen, the shout for their second had nothing in it. Dier clearly got the ball first. On the other hand, Kane looked to be marginally offsides on our second.
You should've had a third penalty when Lloris handballed it in the box to stop the ball going in. Kane should've been given a straight red for that offside as well. Nutter
its the hope that kills ya! as we've done many times in the last few seasons we've missed a great chance to make a real statement tonight. I don't know why im so disappointed as I fully expected us to lose . Ive never even entertained top 4 all season but after Saturday I allowed myself to believe and now I feel ive had my heart ripped out aghhhhhhhhhhh
****ing terrible. Got tons wrong and seemed to be booking players for virtually nothing. Wonder what happened to Dier at the end? I guess we'll never know.
