Apparently AN strode onto the pitch at the final whistle and tore into Olsson!!! That's what we need.
Yes, I heard that. I wonder if Olsson is affected by the failed move to Swansea, though that was meant to be his decision. He was by far our lowest scoring player on Whoscored's stats tonight. I wonder if we'll see Garrido on Saturday.
Glad we managed to get the win in the end but god damn is it frustrating when we are so in control in games and contrive to try and throw it away!
Saturday's matches: Bolton v Watford Bournemouth v Huddersfield Charlton v Brentford Fulham v Ipswich Norwich v Wolves Further chance to close the gap hopefully.
Most of the night Bassong and Tettey were everywhere stopping Charlton play. Both seemed to tire though. No question Bassong has improved us though. Just on the train back I'll post some thoughts once I get to my flat.
Good morning from a very warm Bangkok gents and i have just woken up with a sigh of relief to what looked a good away win, had a feeling we where going to lose this for some reason (not being negative just a feeling) So am very pleased to see we pulled off the win. I havent had a chance to read any match reports yet but by looking at the possession and score times looks like we nearly gave the game away after being so dominant. Will be interesting to see whats said in the match report and from what some if you are saying olssen had a stinker, i guess his mind could be on other things after his failed switch but lets just hope its just a short term hangover. At the end of the day 3 points is all that matters. One thing i will say this is the first time in a while we have won a match in the final few minutes of the game, something which we managed to do regularly under PL and make a habit, great to see the fighting spirit on its way back. I think the cherries will bottle it this season, one thing none of us know is who is going to hold their last minute nerves and i dont see them staying the course in the later weeks. I think second place will be up grabs and see borough now powering home in 1st position, Derby im still unsure of and i dont see our friends down the road in the autos either. Everything still to play for.....
Good win but seems like the sloppy defending is back . As long as we keep winning the table will keep looking better. Wolves next another big game.
I wonder if we'll see Olsson dropped for the visit of Wolves, as he was also at fault for at least one of the Cardiff goals, which bizarrely we conceded around the hour mark!!!
You were right RER- only explanation for the half empty ground - inexplicably the wheels of 13,000 tractors fell off as Ipswich fans missed their team win
With the vulgar Sky TV deal for premier league matches going back up this season would be absolutely huge for promoted sides. There are still 48 points to play for and it is still possible to sneak 1 of the top 2 places but last night was not an easy convincing win against a club without a win in the last 14 . We need to cut out the sloppy defending first .
