Solar Sky was travelling well and then found nothing. That ground looks softer than 'good' to me, what do we think?
Great start to the day MASKED MARVEL at 5/2, certainly CENSUS on a straight line would have went a lot closer there.
Solar Sky to me looks one to avoid, doesn't have any gears and still looks pretty unfurnished. I thought that race was pretty poor to be honest, Zain Al Boldan ran like a drain LTO but ran on nicely to be close enough to temper my enthuisasm about the front two. Census looks like a big baby whilst the winner was put in his place in the Derby. It makes you wonder about Brown Panther taking on Nathaniel in the St Leger, surely if they line up and AOB doesn't send one of his Derby trio then it could be a match race? Census should make a good four year old.
If Brown Panther wins the Leger I will never ever have another bet in my life. It has no chance. Almost as funny as Monterosso going off fav for the Irish Derby. I would be more interested in seeing what Sir Michael Stoute sends, I feel SEA MOON is a serious contender and doesn't go with stupid hype like Brown Panther. Put it this way I know what Masked Marvel would have done with them German horses on Sunday
As if people would follow my selections, its on the competition thread and on Fugees along with my selections for the day
Of course I would follow your selections, I would back them as I do all of RVs!!! RV, I thought that run in Germany wasn't bad, think Kingscote went a bit too fast and they paid the price. He needs to continue his improvement but I can see him being one of a few with chances in the St Leg. I am still with Nathaniel if he turns up, that effort last time really impressed me. As for Sea Moon, we might get to see him in the Great Volt, which would be an interesting race.
Not sure,Nathaniel must be doubtful for the Leger after JG saying Masked Marvel will go straight there and N'iel for 12f targets.I don't like Brown Panther or anything from that G3 today tbh...must be one of AOB's...Marksmanship is a colt i really like but he must be doubtful also. Ground looks a bit slow alright Topper.
Nass maybe I am being a little bit harsh on the horse but the German form is no good at all it never works out. I mean Campanologist won two out there - I think that says it all. Watch him hack up today now . I hope Sea Moon does go to York and what about the one that was 2nd to Nathaniel ?
Nicely done FREDDY ENGELS two from two, made them all look pretty avearge and adds to the form line of Shumoos
I would hardly say he made them look average. Frederick Engels was impressive but the second and third both ran big races. I can't wait to see Roman Soldier go back to Ascot over a bit further, he wasn't comfortable on the track. I must say that I think Bapak Cinta is one to follow if he does go to the Nunthorpe, whilst Frederick Engels has shown that he is the best 2yo colt of the season so far.
Not saying they were bad horses NASS, i just though FE did it very well and without any great effort or ask from the Mr Ahern
Wow - That was an awesome performance from Fred Engels, looked tapped for toe 2f out but picked them all up nicely although the 2nd may make a better 3yo
He did it well but he was asked and probably got the race run to suit. The thing that impresses me the most with Frederick Engels is how balanced he looks, seems to have an effortless motion in comparison to the second and third.
I like Swift Alhaarth, probably too exposed to win a race like this but has the form and will love the ground and should stretch the stamina of the others. I think he is an EW prospect
Top: As much as i think he could win this well he falls below my 7/2 bottom price so i have looked for some value options in: Rain Mac (win) and Malthouse (EW)
