I think QPR will go all out from the start and AJ will track back. What a great player Alvarez is to come off the bench after 50 minutes. I think we'll win this game in the 2nd half tbh.
Sorry but that is a load of ****e, he's been one of our better players. As for Alvarez being left out, have to remember he's been injured for large parts of the season and has not had a great deal of match fitness. Played pretty much all of the game vs Fulham where he was our main outlet, and then although I didn't see it, he apparently tired vs Swansea in the second half. Better to start with fresh legs and let Ricky come on at the end when the game is more stretched
AJ has had a good season. Looked our only goal threat for long stages. Alvarez was not outstanding v Swansea. Fulham he was very good, didn't do enough Sat to keep AJ out of a big game like this. He's a great option off the bench but IMO Gus is right
I'd disagree, i feel the players give it to johnson and half the time expect him to do all the work, alvarez has shown glimpes of promise but i wouldnt start him yet, he's always been better coming off the bench for us i feel, bar fulham.

There midfield looks decent to me. It will be a tough game but we should nick it with home advantage. Defoe should be to much for Rio.
Barton is my only real concern. The others aren`t playing. If we don`t take advantage of this then we deserve all we get imo.
Me too, the rest of that midfield would be at home in Madame Tussauds. Barton needs to be wound up and distracted so he loses his focus imo. If I was playing against him I'd be talking to him non-stop and calling his Mam all kinds of hoower.
As I predicted ...... QPR will have the first 25 minutes and we'll let them. We won't win this until the 2nd half.
