That would be an issue if I said I felt for Sonequa Martin-Green, the actress. But I said Sasha, and if we are going down that route she'll feel nothing, because she doesn't exist. In fact as none of this is real, why are we discussing it, or even have a TV show thread.....
SPOILER...........................for anyone hasn't watched all of Breaking Bad. Spoiler You didn't feel cheated? That the whole series they built up to a Hank/Walter confrontation then BAM, Hank's dead and the new protagonists are a bunch of redneck neo Nazi's that we were introduced to a few episodes ago.........who I have no feeling about one way or another and don't give a **** about? Complete cop out.... The last episode was well acted, I will say that much, but Bryan Cranston is a great actor. Mike dying needlessly, Hank and Gomez just being written out like....bleurggh. Was ridiculous. I really didn't like Walt by the end of it at all. (Though I did enjoy him going to Gretchen and her husbands house and tricking them with the laser pen, they were dicks) Anyway, isn't it you that liked Lost?
I got to the end of series 3 then didn't have access to the rest but now got Netflix so catching up. Watched 4/5 episodes yesterday.
Lord No!! The Yank office wasn't very good at all. Started off not too bad, but watched the first two seasons and I could see the quality dipping with every episode. UK Office = One of the Best Comedy series' this country has ever produced and my personal favourite. But I am not alone there
erm.....What Americans like doesnt count....hehe Seriously though, we just have different tastes, I think Lost has all the substance and entertainment of Diarrhetic faecel matter. In terms of writing, one of the worst things I have ever seen committed to screen. The plots all over the place, theres no cohesion, the cast swelled to a ridiculous proportion and they couldn't handle it.
Yep, different taste and I was just taking this piss I don't like Ricky Gervais. As I've said to you before, he reminds me of the annoying kd at school that thinks he's funny doing repetitive childish ****. I loved Breaking Bad, probably my favourite TV series TBH but I do not what you're getting at with the ending. Although it could have been better, I liked it. I was gutted at the time of watching it though, I knew the series was ending anyway but killing certain characters sealed it
I sort of have Tiers for TV shows. Top Tier is for the classics, best TV shows of all time. Though I have a rule that I cannot place ANY show in any given category until its run is finished. Second Tier is for awesome shows, that I really like and love watching, but ultimately lack that something to put them in the top tier (usually its a deficiency either in writing, or just general subject matter) Third Tier is for the Meh Shows, things like Arrow, Dawsons Creek, Heroes, ones that could have been awesome, but were ultimately just meh.... Bottom Feeder Tier shows that anger me because they are total tripe, lack any decent writing or acting and aren't the least bit entertaining in anyway shape or form. Only two shows are in my top tier The Wire and The Sopranos, though True Detective and Game Of Thrones will seal their places in it if the quality of the shows stay as they are for their duration. Second Tier is stuff like Breaking Bad, Boardwalk Empire, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly Walking Dead and Shameless (US) will most likely go into this bracket when they are finished. Third Tier - 24, Heroes, Prison Break, True Blood, shows that could have been in the second Tier but dipped so much in quality towards the end that they ultimately failed. Homeland will most likely end up here when it is finished. Bottom Feeder Tier - Lost Plus a multitude of other shows I despise that would be too numerous to list.
What bothers me about walking dead is how repetitive it is, it's always Rick and his lot wandering around in woods / towns lost, getting chased by zombies or maniacs OR they're on the road looking for yet another bolt hole. I accept that it's a zombie apocalypse and this is going to be a large part of the format of the show but it's very self-limiting, especially as a TV show rather than a comic where there are a few more possibilities to vary the narrative. I'm also sick of how they offer no character development for a character, then suddenly give them loads over one or two episodes only to immediately kill them off.
Rick's character has developed no end from the very first episode. He was a open, friendly character that wanted to do good in the world whereas he's become a very dark protective leader with a no mercy type approach at times. However, he's been the latter for quite a while now so needs to develop a bit more now. And he needs to shave that **** bloody beard off too
