Being a Sunderland supporter I'm sadly an expert on relegation battles and would say you're right, it's Leicester plus 2 others but it'll be tight. There'll be a few shocks, like Hull at Man City, which should give you hope & obvious problems at Leicester & Villa while Burnley's upcoming fixtures are cruel. However there are only around 15/16 genuine 'relegation 3 pointers' whereas there were many more, at this stage last season, which means the relegation fighters, including Sunderland, have more of the better teams to play than last season. To me, that means the points total of the bottom 3 may be very low this time. Therefore it's primarily the home fixtures that are key as you have more chance, statistically, of gaining valuable points & your local derby matches are tough but unpredictable. Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea & West Ham at home don't look like easy games. But the other two, Everton & Newcastle, must be targets for you. It must be a worry that you have 8 away and only 6 at home but 4 of the away games are at relegation rivals, starting tonight. Good luck.
Yes I've heard those long winters can make people do weird things. I can't make it either tbh, I tried but I was at Swansea and will be at Bradford. It tried for tonight but it's a 300 mile round trip and the other lads are working.
Good job that there's tv or streaming then! I'll probably need some glue by HT, but hopefully not. Good luck, as from tomorrow!
If you fancy making some money you can still get near evens on Sunderland or 2/1 to win to nil. Logically, their chances of winning the game are considerably more than 50% given the form of the teams and the players we have out so I'll be on it.
if i was going i'd put 50 quid on the 2/1 to nil - to hedge for the disappointment of the travel to watch a load of shight. Probably get to see SWP score a 95th minute consolation in a 6-1 paxoing
Amateur Psychologist strikes again. You have some unanswered questions waiting for you on your own site Dr Dick.
Just asking but, do you always answer for other people and do you ever talk about football? It's match day. (Good avatar btw, much underrated group imo.)
Good analysis. It is so tantalizingly close for all those teams if they could 'just' string two or even three wins in a row. One wild card for us is the Chelsea game at home. The atmosphere is toxic (as with you guys and Newcastle I suppose) and with the proximity of the fans to the players it definitely rattles their cage. A cheeky nil:nil at HT and then a QPR win might just be worth it! Well, may the better team on the night win.
I am hoping new manager, injury's etc. just may make us play different away from home and catch lesser opponents unawares, sneaky win tonight, but will accept our first point away
I love the way you use the laughing face to show you are " joking", " laughing", "eat with your mouth open", it's very clever.
Here's my hand in keyboard friendliness, not taking it too seriously or personally, but harmless, (not too rude) banter back, I do not have any problems with Sunderland infact had good experiences both times when I have been to see QPR there, I don't think you'll be relegated and wish you luck after tonight
