I still can't help feeling that there's a reason no-one has really played 3-4-3 in the PL and that in the none too distant you're going to find out what it is........ Someone is going to set up perfectly to exploit it's weaknesses shortly imo and once they do it'll be copied.
Rodgers showed he'd settled for a point when he took Coutinho and Sterling off, with tonight in mind no doubt.
No, not at all. Both sides setup to stop the others attacking threat. Once Lucas departed I thought Martinez would have thrown on Barkley as he wouldnt have been picked up by any of the three defensive midfield players rodgers had on....his 5 minute cameo showed that
If we had been a little more adventerous then it would have been Saturday, a Pienaar type player would have been helpful
Taken off after being injured by your thugs. You've displaced Stoke as the bottom half boring anti-football team. 4 goals and 6 points from your last 8 games. Have a word with yourselves.
Why are we still chatting about this crap game against a mid-table hoofball side? The game that matters is tonight, all about the top 4.
So you are telling me he has played more negative than that I have seen all our games against Rodgers since he was at Swansea....he never setup so negative when in charge of the swans....
. Why were EFC so negative at home in a derby? If you think we were negative with 6 shots on target you must think the blues 1 shot on target is a excellent night's graft against us. Stats don't win games but they piss all over your theory.
So you haven't seen all our games and have no idea how his sets ups vary - quelle surprise!! And your excuse for playing so negative ... at home ... ????
My question was has he played more defensive than he did against everton at the weekend? In all the games he has managed sides against everton that was the most defensive. Was that a backhanded compliment to Martinez?
Ridiculous argument really. There is no agreement on whether or not we played defensively at the weekend. How can you possibly answering a question like "has he played more defensive than he did against Everton at the weekend?" when the first part can't be agreed. For example, my answer would be yes but that is because I don't think we were defensive. Someone that thinks we were defensive will see that yes in a completely context to what I meant.
