Indeed. As Lineker said on MOTD, they just won't go away, and as a ManU supporter added weeks later, they just ****ing won't go away. It's kind of nice to be annoying.
The QPR result has given me renewed hope. Just like the Leeds win & Millwall win in our promotion season. You almost start to think of illogical notions like destiny. West Ham will be tough, they're certainly a lot more of a threat than when we played at the start of the season. Any combination of Carroll, Valencia or Sakho is more dangerous than Zarate & Cole. Song was also missing from that line up, so this is going to be a serious challenge.
I'll be happy with 1 -0, but would like to see a couple. Clean sheet though to add to Fraser's list would be excellent. West Ham will be a threat but I fancy our defence to do the job again
I believe it might have happened already. Usual two days before a match and all that. Besides, there's an awful lot of new Koeman quotes, that aren't part of Saturday's match, on NewsNow. Maybe not though.
Can confirm it is today (Tuesday) - was being discussed when I was there last week. Ronald wanted to do Tuesday rather than Monday.
Hmm, yes. Can't have Lamb hogging all the fancy stuff. I noticed very quickly, after the software upgrade, that the super-mods had his ordinary well known member changed to in need of a cold shower. Still don't quite know the motivation for it all.
Just been looking at the run-ins for the top 7 teams. Frankly, I almost can't contain myself. It's so doable it's not true. Some teams have horror stories for run-ins. Ours is more of a thriller. Those pessimists amongst you had better not look further. You'll either change your outlook, which will make you feel peculiar to be positive, or you'll have a coronary. You've been warned. Those with a realistic to positive outlook can read below and enjoy. Personally, I say, bring it on. Teams below are in their current positions. We are in a great position and we will do it if we deserve to. As the games run out, those against Liverpool and Spurs may prove crucial, but draws against them may be enough. We are showing no signs of falling away and have no cups as distractions, so our chances are good.
I'm with you 100%. At work all the Man U, Liverhampton and Arsenal fans are coming over to me metaphorically patting me on the head and saying "there, there little Saints fan, have your little bit of fun now as it will soon be back to normal". The new Saints fan in me wants to scream out and say "Hey this is how it is going to be in 14 games time too". The old Saints fan actually says "I would be over the moon with top 6". What a liar I am.....
Basically its in our hands, what more could you ask for at this stage of the season? West Ham isn't make or break but anything other than Spurs winning tonight and then Saints winning on Wednesday then, it would be agonisingly close. Saints of old would now, of course, self destruct but we have shown over and over again this season that we are not Saints of old.
