So why was Moyes the devil incarnate and needed to be hung, drawn and quartered? Why weren't you spouting off about him needing time?

You are saying LvG should not be sacked if he finishes outside the top 4, yet when Moyes did it, you were going berserk about him needing to f*** off etc

The hypocrisy is startling to be honest, really weird too.

And, unless I don't understand the meaning of the word, and I do so that's not the case, literally everything hasn't improved. At all.

The squad has. That's what makes the situation worse.

    That's not literally everything though.

That's one thing. And I agree, the money spent and almost complete squad bar one or two players makes the we play even more unacceptable. The way we are playing, and drawing most games, is most definitely not literally an improvement on last season at all.

At the moment though our league position is. If van Gaal gets us top four then he should be given the opportunity to kick on and improve further next season.

If he doesn't though, same rules apply as last season. He's had his chance and blown it.

By this time last season I can think of at least half a dozen good (a couple include great) performances.
This season I can think of only one great performance (Hull) and one good (Liverpool). That's it.

    Oh and
Because he was Dogshit. We wernt battling for top 4 and we lost 7 home games. The players thought he was a joke and as each game came, we expected the worst.

Last season we were complaining about losing at home to most of the league, we couldn't pass, we couldn't hoof, we couldnt cross. Our far more experienced defence couldnt stop a tomato from getting past.

Today we complain about Rooney in midfield and a draw against one of the top sides in the league right now. A side who beat Liverpool and City. We sit 5 points behind the champions and have lost 1 game in 17, 2 in 21. Weve conceded 9 in 16 games. Incredible record.

The fact this is an massive issue shows exactly how far we have come.

You can? Which? Even the opening day thrashing of Swansea was purely down to muscle reflex from the fergie days. As was much of moyes early months.

As soon as that was gone. Down. Rapidly.

You seem to ignore the stats that matter most, chiefly, games won and total points.

    You don't half talk ****. <laugh>

Treble, it wasnt a month ago when you were saying our performances and play have improved greatly. You had it out with the jokers on the pool board.

The stats that show us much improved from last season? Or the ones that if read alone suggest we were much better yesterday that some like to claim?

Which stats are we talking about? It doesnt matter, van Gaal is ahead of moyes on every single one.

Moyes first game, after his 2 week holiday where the players were still living in Fergie land? Yeh, Moyes and his methods hadnt taken hold by then.

Last season Uniteds win percentage was 50% (19 from 38)
This season Uniteds win percentage is currently 50% (12 from 24).

    What other ****ing stat matters?
You can say you have averaged more possession, had more shots on goal etc....whatever.

The stat that matters is how often you win.

Look, I am not saying LvG isnt a better manager, one only needs to look at his CV to see that, and from the few times I have seen United this season, they do look more......resolute I guess is the word, than under Moyes...so thats something.

My point is, for £150m + he hasn't really taken any strides. yes you are currently 4th (and personally I think you will get a CL place) but the gap from 2nd to 7th is 10 points, with 14 games left....so there is every chance LvG could finish as low as Moyes......

I just dont understand your blind over optimism....its as staggering as your sheer over the top outrage from last season....you may need to be checked for Bi-Polar :p (kidding)

win %? FFs bod, pluck a random stat out of the air why dont you.

    It is irrelevant right now.

This £150million. At times we've had over £200million worth of players out injured so I have no idea why its mentioned. Its as boring as the claims we are no better than last season.

It was during that period when we were beating Hull and Liverpool probably. Actually iirc someone on there said we were **** which was a stupid thing to say. We're not ****. I stand by that. Our performances are below what we should be expecting with the players we have. But any team sitting 3rd or 4th regardless of performance is not a **** team. To say otherwise is daft.

There's difference between being a **** team and playing badly. If anything we're underachieving.

    A random stat?! <laugh>
Come on man ffs. Its THE stat when measuring success, surely?!
Why is it irrelevant? Yet the as of yet unmentioned stats that prove LvG is a god are relevant?

You can only compare Moyes over 34 games as Giggs managed the last 4.
A better stat would be loss percentage <ok>
