The simple solution is to ban (for a couple of weeks) the most offensive, useless, individual who seldom adds anything worthwhile to any debate apart from vitriol and infantile name-calling. That's what I would do anyhoo.
...I hope you enjoyed that. Would have banned myself for longer but I've got so many great ideas for threads, just a question of striking the right balance between metal detecting, right wing politics and nostalgia.
Did you see the loonies on BBC4 looking for King John's lost treasure? Got a dowser, pfft, to find the spot then drilled down 20 foot to see if any gold came up. Apparently that's the BBC's "factual" channel. What I would do If I thought we were in the right ballpark... get the local metal detecting clubs to go all over it a couple of times digging out all the surface targets then bring in the extra deep-seeking machines to check for any large deep signals, sensitivity set to infinty...
