My eldest as started going online on the Xbox 360. Since he keeps adding friends on my profile, I thought I'd look into setting up his own profile. Gone through the procedure etc only to find it wants me to pay for a second Xbox live account so he can go online. Is this right? Surely you don't have to pay twice? Anyone know a way around this...?
How do you get to play online without paying again? Tempted to unsubscribe my account and pay for his instead. Basically, him having his own account provides much better parental controls
I haven't done it myself but just set up a gamertag and don't buy live for it. Online should automatically work because the console has an account on it with live.
That's what I've done and it doesn't work, keeps saying it lacks online privileges and then take me to the Xbox live payment page
I'm planning on getting a PS4 and letting the kids have the Xbox. I'd obviously still need to solve the above issue lol
You have to pay for it each account, I think. Basically they removed the family plan thing on the Xbox 360 to force people into a position where it'd be just as cheap for them to buy a Xbox One, or at least that's what it looks like to me.
As I said higher up, the point of giving him his own profile was for parental control reasons. If it's not the main profile, you can make out request the main profile password for any actions such as added friends. He keeps adding random strangers as friends
I've done some research since posting this and that's what it looks like. Rip off batards Probably just cancel my subscription and pay for his profile instead. He uses it more than me and it would give me the extra parental controls that way too.
No. The little ****ers costing me a fortune just lately. He's started doing karate recently, got to pay £50 for his uniform this Saturday plus £28pcm for one half hour session per week The other two have had nothing yet so got to splash out for them too
The thought had crossed my mind TBF, the £50 isn't too bad. The first six sessions are included along with the uniform. Its the £28pcm for half an hour a week that I don't like
