Looks like the confidence is spreading as well ...... ......... http://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport/sunderland-afc/sunderland-much-too-strong-for-rangers-1-7095770
Prediction 1-1 I think it'd be just like saggy face first game in charge here a couple seasons ago tbf... I'm basing this on our current home but I bloody hope I'm wrong fellas
Sorry to go off topic, just interested to know... Do you have to get up at daft o'clock to watch your matches on tele? Do the pubs over there open at daft o'clock to show the EPL games or is there not that much interest in the EPL in Oz?
Hey Tez, if it's a 3pm kick off your time then that's 1am over here.. You'd be suprised, the casino's & a few clubs/pubs show the matches live etc but the coverage over here is quite sound. Fox sports holds the rights but from time to time they won't show SAFC games the kerntz... I will admit if I've been drinking during the sat day then Fark it's a struggle to stay awake for the game Interest in BPL is sky high ATM, football in this country is finally reaping the rewards! Man utd are heavily backed over here mate, but there's a a bloke with a beer gut that follows SAFC!
It's pitiful isn't it ........ as if I would just post a link, from a match that's obviously been played, without having a look
Nice one mate, I thought Cricket and Rugby would be order of the day over there. Am I right in thinking Oz-rules also draws in huge crowds? I remember my mates wife saying she'd see the world cup final before us last summer because they're 3 hours ahead of us (They live in Bahrain). She's not the brightest bless her.
He Couldn't wait to tell you you'd got it wrong and made himself look such imbecile in the process. Ffs Smug, don't give him some complex humor what ever you do or his brain will explode.
Mrs Smug once asked if it was right that Aussies have Christmas in the summer! There was no drink involved and I'm not kidding ...........
Your right mate, cricket, rugby league, & union are heavily backed. Since our entry into the 2006 World Cup this country has Been infatuated with football! I'm talking the grass roots down mate, Aussies participation in sports is phenomenal! The number 1 sport in this country participation wise through the juniors is Football.. That says a lot about how far it's come down under., we just had the Asian cup here and quite a few sell out crowds and a genuine buzz about the tournament.. Even bladder came out and said we should've hosted the WC here but oh well we keep on trucking and learning mate..
Sweet. Be cool to have a World Cup down under, with the added factors of players being attacked by crocodiles mid-game
Wouldn't it be sweet to see the Japanese trying to cuddle a koala or the Germans trying to handle a snake?

(ABC News: Bruce Mackenzie) "The expert will assist us to determine what type of shark it was. "Once we know what type of shark it is and receive advice on whether or not that shark poses a threat to humans, then we'll assess what we'll do about the shark." Inspector Lindsay said a witness on the beach hadvideo footage of the aftermath of the attack, and this would be used to try and work out what type of shark was responsible. "There was a witness on the beach that took some video of the surfing this morning. "Unfortunately the video captures after the attack so at this stage we don't have video of the actual attack. "We're still looking at it but it appears to capture a large amount of blood in the water." 'They tried everything they could' Ballina Mayor David Wright said residents of the beach town was struggling to come to terms with the tragedy. "Some surfers were out on their boards ... and during that time a shark has come up behind a board paddler who was just sitting on his board and it's taken the back of the board and part of the gentleman," Mr Wright said. "His mates quickly pulled him in and they tried to do resuscitation but he died. They tried everything they could but he was deceased. "It's a terrible tragedy. He's a local man of Japanese origin. It hurts. "Everyone in town is just dumbfounded. "This shark is just cruising around. I'm a supporter of sharks but something has to be done about this one." The site was cordoned off after the attack and all swimmers and surfers ordered out of the water. All beaches from South Ballina to Lennox Head have been closed, police said. A report will be prepared for the coroner. Second attack in northern NSW in two days The incident followed a shark attack on Sunday at Seven Mile Beach near Broken Head, about 20 kilometres north of Shelly Beach. Detective Inspector Lindsay said police would ask the shark expert to determine whether the two attacks were carried out by the same shark. "We'll receive advice, scientific advice, from a shark expert on what type of shark it is and whether or not they believe that shark would still be in the area, or is a species that roams," Inspector Lindsay said. please log in to view this image PHOTO: Surf lifesavers have been using jet skis to search for the shark.
