Off Topic Iced up windscreens ......

I just turn my car engine on, leave keys inside with heaters on full blast.

Use 2nd fob to lock car.

2 minutes later we're ready to roll.

 

Modern high tech cars won't run if they're locked ....... I take it you have a Skoda

 

Just me then!

 

Jump in my little fiesta, pop the heated windscreen on then clean side windows.
When that's done my windscreen is clear and am ready to go.
Oh and heated seats are nice too lol.
My mate uses a fan heater to warm his car up. Opens his car, puts the fan heater on using an extension lead from his house then has a brew while it warms up.
Wife turns her car on so engine is warm for her to get in, told her someone might Nick it but she says that no one would steal from around here, just waiting to say "told you so" lol

 

Since January I've been driving a 2013 X6 4.0d XDrive

It's not my car it's my In-laws.

Our lasses company car is a skoda octavia, its like **** off a stick, all mod cons, touch pad screen the lot, she loves it, brakes are sharp mind

 

You'll laugh mate, it's like using smoke signals when your internet's down

 

When required, I use a pair of gloves and a plastic scraper They were selling some hi-tech gadget in Lidl just before Christmas, a mitten with a scraper attached to the end but it was too complicated for me

Anyway us retirees just stay in bed until it thaws naturally...........about the end of March

 

I'd still park it outside next doors!

She does, ive only driven it once, its quick like, quite impressive

 

It's always been a dream of mine to start an argument about defrosting yer windscreen ......... my work here is done

I always used the kettle but only with warm water no where boiled. Always does the job
