Your league position and when i have seen you at HQ and on TV will say different. Agree with another post about being a poor division this year. Us /Sunderland are 2 of the poorest teams in it. It always nice to stick up for your team but when facts get in the way of things it can make you look a bit stupid.
Having 40K at home is a great turn out but you normally get good gates so i can't see how you can say its because you are playing good football, which you aren't. Unless of course they are only turning up for the Rangers?

Over the last few games Poyet has suddenly changed the style of play that was angering supporters including myself.
Defoe has made a big difference but he was bought specifically for the new system.

We've been without both full backs who are important to the way Poyet wants to play.
Now they're back we look much more positive, they set up both goals against Burnley and were important in the other games.

I'm not blindly 'sticking up for my team', we have problems that will take time to sort out but we're getting there.
We played some very good football at Fulham and also against Burnley & Swansea.
Alvarez is class and has only just come into the side.

Having 4,000 travel to London, for a replay in midweek, shows that the supporters have faith in what's happening.

Not at all, it's just a basis for an opinion ....... not an opinion in itself.

However, you can't ignore statistics and base everything on opinions, which are bound to be biased, and always just say 'anything can happen'.

As I said, Sunderland were terrible at Loftus Road ............ that means I'm agreeing with you. Things have changed and are continuing to change.
In general I'd say Sunderland are improving whereas QPR seem to be getting worse, is that unfair?

Vergini is a centre back who was played at fullback due to injury, he's much better at centre back.
Having said that he's taken time to settle which seems to be the case with South American players.

I haven't 'edited' your post, I just highlighted a 'hidden' section ........ I still can't believe you can say you won't miss Austin.

I can't knock your support as its normally very good but please remember that many opposing teams fans live/work in London area and it's easier for them to go to a London game midweek than fans who travel from their home town. Over the years of going to the Rangers and working in London i have met many people from an array of clubs that have come to a QPR because they are in London. If QPR were based in Devon we wouldn't get half the away support that turns up, (probably not half the home support either).

I know the London Branch lads very well, stayed with a few of them over the years.

Even so, there were 1000's who travelled down from the north.

Whatever the case, that was a terrific turn out for a midweek game arranged at short notice.

Bradford has sold out, with around 4000 tickets and hundreds are buying home tickets.
The biggest risk isn't from the Bradford fans, it's from their wives & girlfriends being absent on Valentine's Day.

Whatever else it shows that there's now an excitement around and the supporters want to watch Sunderland.

What else is there to do in London if so many Sunderland supporters, who live there, choose to go to the match <laugh>

Never seen a bunch of fans take their opponents feeling confident so personally, you're worse than Hull. Yes we're confident, no it doesn't mean we'll win, why don't you all grow up a bit and just accept it? Apart from the sensible lads, you're obviously not included in my sentiments.<ok>

He did ask! Fair response. I can't see where out next win is going to come from.

Barton will be totally up for Tuesday mate.

In my opinion he's one of the few 'winners' in your team so that's a problem for us.

If you can get to half time our nerves will kick in and you'll get better as the game goes on.

We tend to play better in the second half. Can't look past Defoe getting a brace though. Comfortable 2-0 to your lot, especially with no Dunne to marshall our defence and no Austin.

My only glimmer of hope is that no Austin means we may have to try a new combo of Zarate and Vargas, which being untested, has a small chance of working well and suprising Mr Poyet!

You seem sensible. Don't count it out fella, we're prone to imploding. It was just thread on our board to show some confidence and rally the troupes. We've seen a lot of dross this season in an attacking sense but in the last few games we've seen a change, we're just getting behind our team, god knows why it upsets some of your fellow posters so much. <ok>

Zarate is always likely to fire one in out of nothing ........... my hope is that there's no new manager announced.

If Sherwood was being appointed then tomorrow is the day, other than that it's 'stay as you are' and fingers crossed.

Without a new manager I think Poyet will set the team up better and win.

Daft is the word .............. wouldn't the QPR supporters have any confidence if we were playing there on Tuesday?

We show some and it's like the crime of the fkn century.

Weird people these pretend Cockneys <doh>

Winner? .............. It's a commonly used term to indicate a positive attitude.

The fact that it had apostrophe marks around it means it's not meant be taken literally.

"In my opinion he's one of the few 'winners' in your team so that's a problem for us."

Don't fret if you don't understand, we're tolerant of those who struggle with Engish on here <ok>

New signing who's scoring, a greater attacking attitude, some goal results and more importantly improved performances, a solid organised defence with a home game to a team who hasn't won away and without a striker who's scored over half their teams goals. How dare we feel confident and look forward to a football match while enjoying a drink after good result? We should be executed. Crime of the ****ing century <laugh><doh>

I've learnt my lesson though, I'll never show confidence again in the hope I don't upset touchy, sensitive opposing fans. <laugh><doh>

No QPR fan would pretend to be a cockney, unless they were born further from Loftus Road than you are from Newcastle. Look it up.

The responses have mainly been about the likelihood of you winning, because we are crap. 2 points from the last 21...no, we wouldn't have much confidence wherever we were playing.
