Both MK Dons and Swindon have what could be difficult away games during this week and if we are to further enhance our position a win vs Port Vale is extremely important in the overall scheme of things. Controlling our own destiny is the way to go so that results from other games don't matter, but we all know that is a very closed way of looking at things. Continue winning and you probably won't get caught, and that would be my ideal situation but then again.......!
I know what you mean being a closed way of thinking, and it is.... other results do matter because we are in the second 23 games, they are the reverse of the first 23... and some teams may have had the home advantage of "difficult fixtures" and now face playing away for those! we have played 4 sets, now 4 pts from MKD and Fleetwood and 6pts from each of other 2, = from 24 points we have 20 points from 24 where as MKD show 1pt from 6 against CITY they are only 2 pts behind but have played 1 more game! = they have played 5 games so from 30 points they have now got 23 points and the next fixture they play away at Bradford who beat them at home! so from 36 points they can only get a maximimum of 26 from 36 should they win .and Bradford are no soft touch! but weaker at home CITY (strong at home) PLAY port vale already 3 in the bag so from 30 are likely to finish up with, 26 or at least 23 (same as MKD WERE!) but CITY likely to win ?????? home advantage! going back over past seasons the second halves are a lot different for a lot of teams! Not least Leyton O Carlisle, CITY and SHEFF last
Other results DON'T matter, we win our remaining games and so do the other three barring Swindon and Preston losing to us. We go up champions MKD second Swindon third PNE forth. So no destiny is in our NO ONE else's.
We fear no-one, especially after yesterday. The most important thing at the moment is for the team to concentrate on our games.
