But didn't you know - we should judge defenders and how good they look on the ball rather than actual defensive ability...

Can't agree with that Sahko was terrible yesterday (very Titus Bramble like). Got disposessed like 3 times in defence as well as a number of wayward passing (not as bad as the welsh Xavi mind who kept getting outmuscled). However one game doesn't make or break a player and hes been magnificent since he has been back. Definititelt the key to your run

Got dispossessed when he was outnumbered and had no options.

Poor on the ball last night but I rather judge defenders firstly on their ability to defend and he did a good job.

  4. Can't argue with that, he was poor yesterday but as I said, Everton deserve the credit for putting him under pressure and forcing him to have a or game.

Yesterday's game was not a example of Sakho, it was a out of character performance.

Having said that, in happy we can still get a clean sheet despite a key player being poor :)

People need to realise too that there will be games where you know your not gonna score. Everton were content on the 0-0, after the first half where we tried to put pressure on the we allowed them to come at us second half to open the game up, they weren't bothered in attacking so in the end we didn't push hard enough.

I would say it's a good point but Everton are fighting for mid table so we should of really pushed on in the end, Everton did not want to attack.

  6. It's these games where we miss Suarez the most. Someone to take hold of the game as make something happen. A bit of magic to break through.

What a night, I'm dead on my feet! Got a call from Roberto Martinez asking a favour, I had to get up to Liverpool and take the Chelsea bus back down to London for him. Some people just ask too much!

Will Rodgers the benefit of the doubt and say Coutinho was carrying a knock and had to come off. We have a crucial period of fixtures coming up.

However, playing the likes of Sterling and Gerrard for 90 mins mid week plus this week - there is no logic. Sentiment is killing Rodgers.

Also, I'm, not sure if Balotelli was injured or not but NO-ONE can tell me they would rather have Lambert on instead of him.

    Or rested for Spurs.

He played last Saturday, on Wednesday, yesterday and will play again on Tuesday. He doesnt have the best track record for stamina.

Agreed - and with Markovic and Lallana both not fully fit doesn't help.

  14. He wasn't great yesterday but there is no way I'd have taken him off <ok>

  16. As I said yesterday, will half an hour really make much difference...?

Potentially lose him for a long time for the sake of the least important of our 3 fixtures this week?

  19. A third of a match yes, but he still trained travelled and took part. A match isn't 100% of his job. Half an hour will make little difference IMO, certainly not enough to justify taking him off when we still need a goal

  20. Not sure why you put #sentiment on that but I quite like the idea of putting it on every part too lol
