Cracking card over in Ireland today and Exeter doesn't look too shabby either. I'm going to be wasting a few quid on an eway Yankee today...

    2:15 Leo - SILVER CONCORDE 14/1
    2:25 Exe - KNIGHT OF NOIR 7/1
    2:45 Leo - LE VENT D'ANTAN 7/1
    3:50 Leo - FIRST LIEUTENANT 14/1

    Good luck all!!

This montage on ATR has got the hairs on the back of my neck standing on end. What a jockey. Every big win, all his best moments are driving, determined efforts. That's why he's loved. Punters know he'll try to win for them in a tight finish.

4.40 Southwell. ACE MASTER. 5-2. Watch its run 5 days ago. Ludicrously well in and no surprise he's back out straight away.

Horses for courses too. However, this is a career high mark, and at 7 I doubt he is improving, it might just be that the race fell apart around him last time.

That said, the price is very appealing, I would worry if we saw a market move for the Ellison horse though, as he is very interesting.

The novice hurdle at Exeter is fascinating, as we have the impressive looking Emerging Talent (I think he could be a lovely novice chaser in time) who took an awful looking fall last time out when coming to test L'ami Serge. I am concerned that he is still fresh in his races and can pull quite hard, and has made mistakes in all three of his hurdle runs. He has been beaten by two very good horses and probably still sets the standard in this race, but I think he might be up against a really interesting horse in War Sound who showed a really professionalism on his debut when cantering all over Southfield Royale at this track.

I am not sure that form stands up as well as Emerging Talent's but his attitude is better for me, and should this race come down to a battle, I think he will try his heart out, and I am not sure the Nicholls horse will!

Kalane is interesting too, as she beat a horse I really like in Monbeg Theatre (another who battles well) and that form looks pretty fair for a race of this nature, whilst Native River has to give weight out to all of his rivals.

Good race is this, and I think we might see an odds on jolly turned over.

1.05 Vercingetorix win.Elliot very sweet on this one and has the class to see off Kalkir
3.15-Small stakes for a 18 runner hcapp but I think vent de la cote can make thre frame ew.
3.50-On his own to nail it in a thrilling finish!
Will be also keeping an eye on Silver Concorde as I have backed him ew for the supreme novices next month

Don't really fancy much today but had a look at Exeter and Nicholls has a horse in every race so for an interest I've just followed him through the card for small stakes with various multiples and hopefully he has a good day.

    Smashing card at Leopardstown.

I take AP to win the Hennessey on CARLINGFORD LOUGH, who shaped really well in the Lexus bt seemed to lack for fitness in the final furlong or so. He is a proper stayer though and will come home with a rattle today.

1.15 PETITE PARISIENE looks to be the right sort of profile for this juvenile hurdle. They can make major improvements betwen first and second start and this one was done by a tactical ride where he gave his Gigginstown compatriot too much rope. Was closing well and ridden closer to the action today should be bang there turning in.

2.45 APACHE STRONGHOLD (NAP) has his ideal trip today. I cannot believe that Valseur Lido is being lined up for a crack at the RSA ahead of Don Poli as it stands and I hope Apache beats him like I think he can today to prove once and for all that Don Polis form and prospects over 3m are outstanding.

4.20 MOSSEY JOE is in the right hands to find his best form and if he does, 10/1 is an insult.

Had a little e/w dabble on Kalane in the next at Exeter - would prefer 8 runners though. Carnage in the first at Exeter - Air Ambulance, jockeys stood down, 1 horse lost RIP.

    14:35 Southwell - Arctic Lynx

(I know, I always go on about sandpit racing, but NH is tough today, so will try this one at the minimum distance. Think jockey Haley Turner goes on 'vacation' shortly?).

Lovely STH! Alvisio Ville very poor, the Neptune backers must have been expecting a lot more. Hopefully the Willie second string runs continue with Bob and Adriana!

I'd have Nichols Canyon in the Supreme over the Neptune but I ain't no Willie Mullins!
