There are tho, some that are deluded on here and think that everything is rosy, when its clearly not but thats another story

Apparently he said we looked tired!!
Really, what has it been, 2 games in two and a half weeks, ffs!! You boys who work at least 8 hrs a day, 6 days a week must be nearly dead from exhaustion!!
    Poor excuse Mick!!

Maybe mentally tired:emoticon-0113-sleep. Big chance on Tuesday night with a win, as four of our immediate competitors near the top meet each other and we could take advantage/ come on the Boys!<devil>

For what it's worth my team on Tuesday would be

    Billy
    Chambo, Smith, Berra, Ty
    Ambrose, Bish, Skuse, Parr
    Murph, Sears

Some teams like to play with interchangeable wingers well why not do that with our left side? If Jonny's not getting the better of his full back he can drop into defence for a bit and let Ty have a go without losing our defensive qualities. Jonny puts in some good balls from what I've seen when he plays left and offers the same defensive mind as Tabb.

Today frankly wasn't good enough, nowhere bloody near. I expect a huge change of attitude from the players and management against sheff wed because if not we could throw away all the good work we done at the start of the season.

I do like that team SD, mainly because we we can change really easily to a 3 at the back if needs must.

Or three at the front by pushing Ambrose up.
That's a fresh looking midfield with two players who haven't played much, an 18 year old who should have the energy of a Duracell battery and a holding player who doesn't use too much energy in the way he plays and is probably the freshest out of the regulars.

more like, make it 3 at the back, put Skuse between Bish & Ambrose and take it too them!
Christ, if we have to keep playing 3 CB's and no wingers its the obvious thing to do if we want to be conservative whilst still being attack minded

I would have ambrose just behind the front 2, let bish pull the strings with skusey.

Goldy needs a huge kick up the backside, he isn't even half the player he was last year.

Exactly Weighty, I'm a big critic of Mick sometimes but we've still got a great chance of making the playoffs this season, lets not throw the baby out with the bathwater

I think exhaustion has been one of our biggest downfalls all season and it's not just down to the fact we have a small squad it's down to how Mick gets us to play, it's because we let the players do the work rather than the ball,we play such a high pressure game and don't seem to know how to slow a game down in possession. We either are relentlessly pressing the opposition, playing a direct style at 100 miles an hour or chasing the ball because we're out of possession, it's no surprise our players are knackered.

Every game I've seen this season toward the end of the game we invite pressure on ourselves because we can't slow the game down. We need to get alot better on the ball, take more responsibility and courage with it.

Totally agree.... Not criticising people's reactions and I mostly feel the same TBH. Just reckon don't get too high when it's all good or too low when it's not. We have been poor recently since Derby I think and a plan b or more squad rotation is definitely overdue. We all hoped that would happen today after the Wigan bore draw but Mick missed another opportunity which is the most annoying thing.

That said I think he's mentioned freshening the team up ... A decent performance on Tuesday and we could turn the corner again.

    COYB!!

actually I think you'll find I've not been on much while the poor spell was happening until now. whoever said knee jerk reaction, seven games is not a knee jerk reaction it's a sizeable chunk of the season.

What do you mean seven games .......a draw and a 1-0 loss to a top premier league team......a 3-1 win which is acceptable.....so that's down to a poor 4 games one of which was a draw though not great hardly terrible .....a couple of losses by the odd goal which happens in football when you have two teams playing in a competitive match......and a 2-0 loss which by accounts of people that attended could have gone the other way...............
