I'm not saying that's what he wants, but it would make it easier to put into practice his plan of relying on Academy products + imports from elsewhere in the Network. I'd guess that his computer brain is already balancing the financial loss of playing to 8,000-odd crowds against the gains of a reduced wage bill. We might be saved this season by the poor form of those below us, but not next season.

He can then buy out the trust's favourite Dicky Murray.

Scenario: We get away with it this season due to Spanners + 2 others being worse than us.

8000 (or fewer) crowds next season with Championship wages still to pay and crowds continuing to tumble as godawful results week after week make it glaringly apparent that the club is doomed if this continues.

RD loses significant amount of money by December and seriously starts to question how much he can cut his losses by selling Charlton quickly.

If, by some miracle, we stay up this season, there has to be a serious commitment by fans not to turn up next season. It will damage the club in the short term for sure, but getting the message through to RD that he is onto a major financial loser by keeping Charlton on his network is the surest way of shifting him.

I can't see that working with Roly. Consider his mindset. He is a billionaire. He is not joe the fishmonger on a lottery ticket win.

    1. We are going to lose ST holders by the mere fact we are crap - do we need to lose more
    2. The team need support - I don't follow cutting your nose policies
    3. He can out wait us. That is too say he could be here a long long time - just to spite us.
    4. IF your not at the game how can you protest?
    5. You leave you might not come back!! Ever.
    6. Individual support is personal it should never be questioned or bargained by others.
    7. Roly might not give a ****
    8. We could be in a pub league before he gives in and sells us to a Vet or Murray
    9. He could be into lower league football.
    10. He is mental

I need a lot of convincing that ST boycotts are the right way.

Talk of a ST boycott is irrelevant, compared to the numbers who, as Typical says, will not go because we are crap. I never tell anyone how to spend their money anyway, my kids never listened to me when I tried. We have two games at home before the meeting, and let's see how our performances affect the mood of Charlton fans.

The two of your points that I have not edited out are pretty much on the mark.

However, in response to that, we should take comfort in the thought that a fool and his money soon go their separate ways. If he behaves as you suggest in your post, he is unlikely to remain a billionaire for very long.

Should suddenly becoming a former billionaire become all too much to bear, I'd be happy to open the window on the top floor for him.

Sadly, that is true and there is no denying it. Enjoy your gloat.

Such a situation would destroy your scummy little ***-end of a club, but we're bigger than that. This club has been to deeper and darker wells than this and come back.

What does not destroy you, makes you stronger. That's why we are, and always will be better people than you.
