Or let's not jump on a players back if he has 1 average game after being brilliant for the last 3 months.

I suppose they should strip Ronaldo of his WPOTY award after he was **** today against Atletico as well...

I am not for criticising individual players - of course I make an exception for managers <whistle> My point was that we should wait longer before labelling Can as good as yaya Toure. Because if we don't we are saying he is already World Class and therefore has very little to improve. IMO he is very good but yet at the Yaya Toure level. <ok>

  5. TBF, only one poster claimed that and even he retracted it as that wasn't what he meant <laugh>

Can didn't have a bad game. He did make a couple of defensive errors (tends to misjudge the flight of the ball on occasions) but thought he and Sakho did a good job on Lukaku and Miralles.

  8. Because he blows the opposition away? Runs them over? Can turn his head 360 degrees? Looks a bit green? :bandit:

Absolutely bit of attitude and aggression is massively needed in our team. Quite a few of our players should have shells to hide in.

  16. One bit I did like about Gerrard being on yesterday was when he got annoyed about decisions with about twenty minutes to go. He went he full blooded for a 50:50 but Barry (?) bottled it. Gerrard just appeared to boot it out for a throw <laugh>

Bit I thought was interested was when Besic had a little lash out at Ibe, Ibe just calmly gone on with things which was impressive <ok>

Henderson then instinctively went over to do his "captains duties" and stand up for Ibe and when Naismith decided to chirp up, Hendo didn't hold back having a go but Gerrard just calmly moved in and held one back.

2 ways of looking at it, Hendo is young and Gerrard is more mature... or Hendo is showing some real passion and Gerrard didn't seem to care too much... make your own minds up <whistle>

To be fair, Henderson didn't really do much other than mouth off. Naismith grabbed him but refs just tend to default book both in those situations for some reason

Thought Can was really good yesterday to be honest. I think some of you must've been watching a totally different game to the rest of us.
