So what are your favourite things.. What things make you smile, make you happy. Things that contribute to an all round good day. Here are some of mine. Beating Wales at rugby Beating Scotland at anything Beating Australia at anything. Steak dinners. Beer Red wine Golf Watching someone fall over. Finding money in an item of clothing.
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens, Brown paper packages tied up with strings, These are a few of my favorite things Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels, Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles, Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings, These are a few of my favorite things Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes, Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes, Silver white winters that melt into springs These are a few of my favorite things
Badger, pasties, a decent pint of beer, Liverpool losing, Watford winning, backing horses when they win, my nieces and nephews and Tina
Enjoyed the rugby yesterday but England, population 60 million, beating Wales or Scotland is not an achievement, it should be expected. Beating the Aussies is always good as is any win in a competitive football match against any former World Cup winner plus Holland. Cricket is my main sport so any ODI/T20 tournament win or test series win against Aus, Ind or SA is pleasing. Alcohol. Edit: saw Tina's post and yes, doggies and kitties are right up there.
Same applies to the Aussies though surely, as their population is miniscule compared to ours? I enjoy a good round of gold, a good few pints of real ale, fine wine, great food, going to the match (football or cricket, any level really) and gardening!
A few of my least favourite things; Hangovers, Plants versus Zombies, neighbours alarms at 5.30 on a Sunday morning, people parking outside my house (ocd on that one), chain smoking Mr Ben impersonating next door neighbours, crap beer, cheeky kids, **** golf courses.
There's over 20 million Aussies and bear in mind that they all descend from criminals which makes them quite tough.
