We've conceded very late goals against Man City, Arsenal and Spurs off the top of my head this season. 5 points dropped. Aren't we due to start redressing the balance and bagging a few late goals ourselves?
Stoke 2 points Newcastle 2 points Arsenal 2 points West Ham 2 points Spurs 3 points Man City 2 points Just where we've been winning, but worst dropped points are Newcastle, Stoke & Spurs IMO so just taking those 3 games that's 5 points!
Talking of late goals, Ballymena were 1-0 down to Champions Cliftonville in the Irish Cup, until David Cushley scored twice from injury time free-kicks. Watch the second one; an unreal strike! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31202403
Although late goals against are disappointing pain in the arse, I don't think we should feel too bad about dropping points to a world class free kick.
In fairness, didn't look like we could do a thing about the goal today. We defended well and they didn't come close apart from one TV save by McGregor, but the free kick looked a beauty from my view right behind it. Maybe Tom was soft in giving away the free kick but that's probably harsh.
Having seen it back, I think it's a disappointingly soft free kick. They're blaming Tom on MOTD, but he hardly touched him.
I thought it was very soft. Maybe the ref was trying to even it up given they probably could have had a pen. Still, it's an excellent point.
