Lets be realistic, if he wants trophies he's not going to Arsenal he's going to a top club in Europe, like Bale did. So he can get knocked out of the CL in the second round each year and win one trophy a decade? Fair enough, it's a slight step up but when he gets bored of that I'm guessing he'll run down his contract and go to one of the top clubs, right?
With Arsenal, we know we can improve and go back to where we were, we have always been a successful club challenging-winning....You on the other hand, your current position is the best you will ever amount to, so there's the difference. And eventually he will get bored of it, and ditch you just like Bale and all your other top players have.
I suggest you look at our honours list, we are a big and very successful club, and have all the tools to be that again, and it will come. I know you being a bitter Spud fan finds this reality hard to taste, but it is what it is.

Guys, guys. it's fine. Let him have his moment in the sun. Let them brag & WUM for the time being. Because let's face it - when it's May, we all know how it's going to end for them. I maintained before this game regardless of the outcome, we would still finish ahead of them. I stick by that. Sometimes on the day you have to give the opposition credit and accept they wanted it more than you. It happens. However them lot going one point ahead of us does not change what our objectives are for this season and we are still on course for it. This season could have been a lot better but it hasn't been disastrous. We still have a lot to look forward to.

In general terms, we are a successful club, a top team, and far more successful than the Spuds. We can confidently say we sure as heck will be winning the league before Spurs ever do again, heck if they even manage to win it again.
