Whatever you're drinking I'll take one! We aren't exactly convincing at the moment but I guess you never know and with some massive games coming up its in our hands.
City's going to be something of a wildcard now. The air went out of the balloon when they couldn't beat Arsenal and Chelsea, and now they're on a bit of an island in 2nd, with the two-legged tie against Barca probably occupying a fair bit of their thoughts. Hoping that one of Stoke/Newcastle surprise them; would be useful if they got dragged back into it and woke up in time for Liverpool.
Wanyama's winner vs Swansea away this season was late, but not injury time. So I'm going to suggest Rickie's winner vs Swansea away last season.
That will forever be one of my favourite last-gasp winners because it was such a dull game, and everything about the goal was so, so silly. Probably the only time that I've reacted to a dramatic winner by laughing hysterically.
Ah, but when was the last one of such an importance as today's? Rickie's against Swansea was "meh, ok great we won" but today's was "YES! YEEESSSSSSSSSSSS! ****ING GET IN THERE"
I haven't seen that happening in the games I've seen recently, I've seen capable defenders keeping Pelle quiet not stretched defences scrambling desperately to stop the next Shearer. Admittedly I didn't see much of today's game but QPR have the worst defence in the league so if that was happening today (based on the comments on here and the few match reports I've seen it wasn't) then it probably says more about the quality of their defenders than it does about Pelle. There's also a difference between "isn't playing well" and "playing badly". At the moment he isn't holding onto the ball as well as he might, he isn't creating a lot of chances for others, he isn't scoring goals and he isn't even getting many shots away.
After looking back through our results, best I can find is either Stoke away 3-2 in the League Cup earlier this season, Pelle's goal (just after Crouch was sent off) Or in the league, it was away to Man Utd LAST season (October 2013) when Lovren scored via Lallana's leg hair to get a 1-1 draw.
Pelle plays a very different role away from home and thus he only scores rarely. He plays far deeper with his back to goal, like he did against Newcastle when he was very good. Problem is, if he is out of form we have no alternative that can offer anything similar.
