We will not win at your place, so it will be just one point!! Watch us capitulate this season but hey, its not our beloved Micks fault, ffs!!
When you go from a very very good side winning almost every game, to a very very poor side losing almost every game overnight, that's an indication that at some point, something kicked off somewhere behind the scenes. I would hazard a guess that Mick lost the dressing room after laying into some players over the defensive howlers v Saints and Derby and if that's what's happened I honestly don't think you turn that round without either a change of manager or seeing the season out in mid table and then having a big turn over of players in the summer.
BBB I hope thats not the case because if it is we are doomed!! The thing that gets me is the absolute childnessnessness of MM, its his way or the highway and the more you criticise him, the more hr digs his heels in and the more he does things out of spite!!
Spanish this is spot on, maybe this is why MM has never quite bridged that gap from being a good Championship manager to a decent Premiership one, for me there are alarm bells going off, we all knew there was going to be little investment in January, that does not stop MM from picking the right players in the right positions accompanied with more aggressive/attacking tactics. We have a number of exciting young players at this club, MM chooses not to use them, that has nothing to do with ME not opening his wallet, we have enough talent warming our bench or scoring for other clubs to give MM more options almost all over the park! My hope that today's result is the one that shakes MM out of his daze and realise that it is time for a different approach, starting on Tuesday.
Few people throwing in the towel already...............and even seemingly revelling in our downturn in fortune.......I for one will continue to support and encourage, hope pray and believe.......... I don't think two years of excellent work can be forgotten due to a poor month...................now is the time for blood and guts...........not quitters...imo. COYB
I'm not quitting on MM, as I said, I hope today is the wake up call both MM & TC need, however we need a different approach over the remainder of the season, we have been worked out!
All together now Land of hope & glory......... I'm sure that fiendishly cunning Mick is just throwing the odd game to make the derby more exciting & get those Sky TV ratings up , there will have been a lot of cancelled subscriptions in Norfolk after last season.
To be fair weighty you took the same tone when Keano and Jewell were in charge. Thanks for keeping us up and giving us a platform to build on MM, but it's time for the next level.
I'm with Hoppers on this. I still believe we will finish top six but we need to start games with more intent and utilise our current squad differently. Weighty..I don't see many people giving up just yet mate, just a few of us frustrated at the recent performances and team selection, can you honestly say you like seeing Tabb out wide?? The fans were beginning to come back at the end of last year because we were getting results but more importantly we were actually playing some good football and going at teams but that has not happened much since the turn of the year so gates will probably be dropping again. Those that didn't like Mick but began to believe in him have probably gone back to moaning about him again and for the most part who can blame them. McG pisses me off nowadays and sometimes I wish we'd got the cash for him because we won't see another offer like that for him again. Sears should be a starter and Tabb needs to be dropped from wide left. Bishop is a no-brainer to start too.
Totally agree with last paragraph SD. But again too many knee jerk reactions here. I get the disappointment with recent results/ team selection, but a slump was inevitable at some point and here it is. We will turn the corner and push on. I think Mick's wise enough to sort it out and change things. Hopefully that'll start Tuesday!
My comments are not knee jerk castro, It's been coming the last few weeks but I didn't say anything. Nothing is changing in the starting eleven so nothing is changing in the performances. Players are tired because they play every week and others are short of match sharpness because they don't play enough and then Mick uses that as an excuse for why he's not using them. I'm happy that the players have got us into our current position but a little bit of rotation wouldn't harm.
I don't see any knee jerk reactions, Spanish has always been anti MM, nobody apart from Spanish wants to see him gone or anything silly like that, what we/some of us want is to see him not only managing the team but also manage situations, we have been playing fairly poorly now for over a month (7 games) there is no knee jerk IMO. Only an expectation of MM to realise we need to adopt a slightly different approach, probably for most of the remainder of the season.
Listen, a slump does sometimes happen but seldom does it happen against 3 teams in the bottom 5!!! Wake up!!
The really annoying thing is we actually built this season from playing 'uninspiring' football to actually showing a bit of flair and entertaining whilst still getting results and the 'build strong defence first' arguments were all looking good and fair yet for some reason we have abandoned all the hard work for negative hoofball and the results have disappeared aswell. I just cant understand MM's logic.
