There is a reason for breaks in the NFL. Yes one is so fat Americans can get more food. But also there is different teams in NFL (specialist, Defence and Offence) so they would need breaks to setup their next plays.
Maybe they should have this in football? Then we could bring on MLT for penalties. I can't get into sports which rely on breaks in the play to arrange tactics and bring on specialists for specific plays. Sports should be continuous. Even cricket, which has plenty of time between deliveries and overs, insists that everyone bats and fields. I find American Football an interesting diversion but it's not a patch on Rugby Union. (Which, in turn, is not a patch on football).
Yeah the breaks aren't for some people. Even I thought it was crap, but decided to watch a game one night I have now been watching it for 8yrs. I enjoy nearly every sport (bowls being one I dislike big time), but like you football is still my number 1.
No, we have broom sticks but we run around with them between your legs. It's quite tiring! And you have to do most things (passing, scoring, making interceptions) one-handed!
Rugby wouldn't be hugely helpful as you can pass forward in Quidditch. Some of the plays in American Football when it's the last moments of a game and they making multiple passes in a single play could be helpful though. I think the reason why we won was because of our passing, we did lots of quick passing and interchange between us. It was 50-0 at one stage. Not really.
What? You mean flying broomsticks aren't real? I have a couple of ex girlfriends that I would beg to differ about!
