We said it was like Swansea and it was. The away team snatched one late on. Why was I worried about it being like Swansea? I should have prayed for it!
TBH...I'd have taken a draw with 20 minutes to go. All our luck seemed to be deserting us...annoying when Arsenal and City had dropped points. A terrific result.
What was the atmosphere like at Loftus Road. Their fans claim it is the most intimidating top-flight stadium in Europe
I would have seen our last minute winner on SSN, but my family are watching a film - don't they know what day/time it is?!
I thought we played better games this season. But still, not a bad performance, not very slick at times, but we did create an abundance of opportunities and we could have scored easily three or four goals. QPR meanwhile had only one good chance, we have to bow to Forster, he saved our skin, if they had scored then, who knows what would have happened. Mane was superb, stretched their defence, ran behind them, around them, over them...they couldn't deal with him. He should have scored more, that's why it's sometimes frustrating to watch him. But he came with the goods again today albeit he left it late to achieve a dramatic effect, obviously. Pelle I have to say I thought was very poor today. Against Swansea he was ok, did a lot of things right. But today he was obstructing us more than he was helping. And special praise to Yoshida. He was still a center back played out of position, but he was much more comfortable there than he used to be, he's shown clear progress. And he came with the assist too.
I only saw the last ten minutes but that was a cracking goal from Mane. A draw would have been a decent result and a win is a very good one. It's quite amusing when you read all these articles about Saints and how Tadic and Pelle have been key to our success. Tadic can't get in the side at the moment while Pelle's only scored 2 league goals since mid-October and isn't playing well.
