Really grips me when you have 2 selections in a race because you don't like the favourite for a Placepot. Placed mine at 08.30 this morning and only realised that my 2 were the non runners. Low and behold the fav with nearly 84,000 tickets does not make the frame. Gutted.

    Well done Humans

Oddy - better luck next time :) EDIT: Oh - Unioniste is it .... thank god for that - it could have been Coneygree <laugh>

Coneygree for me in the 2-25 wary of TDS but should be a good race whatever the outcome

Well done STH, and anyone else. Vibrato Valtat looked very slick there, not sure what he beat but he has place claims in the Arkle anyway. He's definitely losing his soft reputation.

Denman looks well, I'd fancy him if he was running in this! Paul Nichols loves a sly pop at Clive Smith doesn't he!

Nah, not heading down ste. Well if I can restrain myself on the wine tonight I might wake up fresh enough but its a longshot lol

Just after I backed Unioniste Paul Nicholls came on TV and said he didn' think he had the pace for a Gold Cup <doh>

Well done Coneygree backers and well done to connections for sending a novice out in open company. They must be tempted to go for gold now surely?

Good luck to Kings Palace if he tries taking Coneygree on upfront in an RSA!

Surely they won't go Gold Cup with a novice?! Bad idea in my view. Could finish him

I would agree there I wouldn't send him to a GC this year either. All depends on what the owners want though at the end of the day and most owners would love to say they have a 'live' one in the biggie at Cheltenham.

He's 8 though and clearly a step ahead of the second rank of English chasers. I'd go CGC

That's a good point I suppose time is precious Bob and a lot can change in a year, a lot of points can be made for and against I just wouldn't if he were mine.

She's beat rubbish but she's just laughed at them hasn't she. Worthwhile Warwick raid for Willie and Paul.

Better novices than Coneygree have failed in the big un. It nearly finished my namesake and he went into the race with far better credentials, having pissed up in 2 Grade Ones. To put perspective on it, Coneygree run them ragged but they were handicappers in behind, let's not forget that. Handicappers.

I'm sure they'll take the safe route and go RSA.

I think Coneygree will crush the RSA field and would be very competitive in the CGC. He only has to beat top level handicappers to be in the mix in March. On His Own (who I love) was second last year let''s not forget. He's not a grade one horse.

The 3 mile novice chasers are a different class to the current Gold Cup handicap division, Bobs Worth and Conti aside, but Bob is past his best and Conti isnt really a Gold Cup horse.

Conygree and Don Poli definitely, Kings Palace still has to prove it in a proper race, hope all 3 run in the RSA and it will be a better race than the Gold Cup. Would be madness to run Conygree in the GC this year I think, he will be a lightly raced 9yo going for it next season which should be ideal.

Those 3 novices can be backed at 20/1, 25/1, 25/1 for 2016, one of them wins it.
