2-1 with a late winner again.

The odds are going to be very short on this next week

    Why didn't I predict it? <doh>

We have a team on our hands here, we really do. Absolutely buzzing!

  9. That is by far and away, and without any shadow of a doubt, the best I have seen a Spurs team play for a considerably long time. Apart from a couple of minor lapses, every single player was sheer class, today! The intensity was high and unwavering, the pressing was immense, the pace was electric, the passing was sharp and accurate, the defending was solid - it was a massive team performance and the manager and every single player should be congratulated for it!

And what a player that boy Kane is! To deliver that kind of performance in a North London derby! Can the lad even begin to understand what that has done for his status at the Lane! I sincerely doubt it.

Tremendous entertainment! If we can only play like that every game, forget CL footy! we'd be title contenders!

Congratulations Spurs , you did well , and Harry Kane is some player. I saw him some time ago in a young England side and thought at the time " he's not going to be good enough " - how wrong I was.

A fantastic performance with some real stand out individual displays. Mason was superb, Rose had one of the best games ive seen him play and the young lad up front - whatshisname, he did OK too.

Arsenal played these tactics against Man City and it worked. They looked superb in that game.
Today they looked like they were hanging on and struggling to get anything going forward.
Sanchez was a big miss for them, but their new supposed stars (Coq-au-vin and Bellendin) looked very ropey, to put it mildly.

Just how dangerous is Harry Kane? Immense improvement. Really top notch.

Our support was excellent, too. The away fans have been great all season, but it seems to have caught on at WHL, too.
Constant singing, no real moans about missed passes or shots and real backing for the team. Great stuff. <ok>

"I just want to be out on the pitch, playing with my mates." - Harry Kane. <laugh>

Kane, Mason and Bentaleb are a real example to the rest of our youngsters and those in other youth systems.
The more we can bring through the better.

  16. What is exciting about Kane is the fact that the lad can find the net with his head! He's like a good old-fashioned English centre-forward, who will find the goal with whatever it takes - head or boot. Teams find that difficult to defend against these days.

When we went behind somebody said that Poch should now regret buying quality in the window, well we don't need it because we already have it. When we went behind I thought that's it but thought Eriksen would score late. Kane. Kane. You're magic. I asked last week "Can you do it against the top teams" because I was doubtful but not any more. Liverpool and West Ham, Chelsea, we'll give you a match.

    Bloody brilliant.

That looked exactly what Pochettino wants from this team. Dembele and Lamela did very little that was all that clinical when we were comfortably in possession but many of our attacks came from tenacity, winning the balls in tight situations, hunting in packs and picking up the bits and pieces and getting at them. Would actually have mean a lot to moan about if we'd not won. But what's the difference? Harry Kane. What. A. Player. I seriously think we have a special player on our hands here.

Put it this way - I was thinking the other day: "What would it take to buy Kane?" and I found myself quite easily knowing that I'd be disappointed with 40m. I then realised that that was more than we got for Berbatov. And basically I am expecting Kane to be a better player for Spurs than Berbatov was. Not technically quite as good. But only maybe - he really does have a bucket-load of skill. And on top of that the work-rate, the holding up, the striker's instinct, the footballing brain that makes him much more than the sum of his considerable parts. Plus he's a Spurs fan and loves playing for us! Could be one of our most important players for the next ten years. This is not a blip or just a good run of form - he really is very, very, very good. Genuinely my only fear for him is that he gets so good a Real or a Barca come in for him. I'm not exaggerating.
