Disappointing to be behind after a decent halfs performance. Mason has been excellent but we lack the final incisiveness - with Lamela and Dembele the main problem. Should have had a pen for the keepers clatter onto Kane and Rose continues to blow cold (defensively) and luke warm (attacking). Need to keep up the same level in the 2nd half and we could/should get something from this one. COYS!!!
1-0 down at HT to a dodgy offside goal, where the assist was a sliced shot? Sounds about right! A decent performance, but Arsenal have set up to defend, like they did against City and it's worked for them, in terms of the scoreline, at least. Our balance hasn't seemed right, so that might need to be addressed in the second half, if it's still not working. Chadli down the left, Eriksen into the middle and Dembele out down the right might be best. Lamela to give way, despite putting in a lot of effort. We've put a lot of work into that half, so I hope we don't run out of steam towards the end. It's just not falling our way at the moment, unfortunately. Michael Owen's still astoundingly **** though, isn't he? Got to be someone better out there, surely?
Think we have played well but we are not making clear cut chances...goons defending very deep to deny us space...think they will simply try to pick us off on the break...unless they lose their discipline I can see them winning. We need anearly goal to rattle them imo
So much possession but lacking footballing intelligence. For instance, Lamela needs to go wide to stretch them at the back. Mason keeps going to tight on to his on colleagues. Dembele great style but, needs to release the ball sooner. To predictable already. Needs mixing up a bit. COYS
