It's against the rules for any football club to take legal action against it's governing body.

It could still be done, but it carries penalties so severe that nobody is going to try it.

That is not even on the cards.....

If the arbitration goes in favour of Allam it simply opens the doors for him to start the application again, but as a man of his word he won't do that....he's on the record for saying just that

That rule in itself and the punishment is still open to legal challenge. Which was the point.

It's a rather moot point, as the club aren't considering taking legal action against anyone.

It's not moot in the context it was used as an answer to the question it was posted in reply to. It's just another small point blown up a tad and diverting from the main discussion.

It still remains that contracts can always be disputed, so terms need to be justifiable, which was the main point.

Grow up and stop blaming others; I asked you perfectly reasonable questions that you have either attempted to evade totally or given brief, inadeqlate answers to.

I'll ask you again, what contract do you refer to, what is the contract you say the name-change application is an attempt to vary? I would simply like to understand what is the basis of your argument; I can see nothing circular in that, other than your reluctince to be specific.

You have often spoke of the like-minded supporters (or ex-supporters) who hold the same beliefs that you do, you (and Obi) seem incapable of putting the 'evictions' to bed and allow that CTWD was in the process of evolution to a trust, you constantly seem to demand a level of awareness, response and commitment from a part-time voluntary group of supporters, a level that you say you are incapable of giving. It seems it is all too easy to criticise.

We aren't Hull Tigers. Did you mean if we become Hull Tigers? English doesn't appear to be your strongpoint.

If Allam loses the appeal perhaps you could see if Hull United would change their name to Hull Tigers? Sponsorship and piles of money would soon be rolling in.

One thing is pretty certain, if Hull Tigers were anywhere but the PL you wouldn't be interested in them.

don't criticise my english, this is a forum not and essay exam.

how do you think that its pretty certain I won't support Hull Tigers when we aren't in the PL...... because I don't care what we are called, you automatically think I am a plastic who has only just started going, that's all in your head! thats what your think, its your opinion, you can't say it's a fact or a certainty at all because you don't know me, you are just guessing!

I really hope Assem has a chance to talk to Man City owners today.

He can advise on the great benefits of changing there name to Manchester Hunters.

We have a board that contains the likes of Tickler and Patty.

But this is hands down the most stupid reply to post ever.

    Thumbs up to you.

It does help to try and make out what you are attempting to say. It is difficult enough trying to fathom out your point as it is.

Your willingness to accept a name change without any proof of it being of any benefit does show that being in the PL is the most important thing for you.

"In a few years many clubs will follow and change their names to something more interesting and I will have proved I am a leader – remember this discussion," Allam predicted. "City, Town, County: these are meaningless. In marketing the shorter the name the more powerful - think of Coca Cola, Twitter, Apple. By next year I will change the name to Hull Tigers. If I were the owner of Manchester City I would change the name to Manchester Hunter – you need power. In time I would suggest names for all the clubs called City, but I do not have the time."

They're so many things wrong with that quote. He seems to forgotten all about that well know energy drinks efforts in football marketing.

In the meantime in America, the home of marketing, 3 new clubs have been set up called City.

Sadly, he will prove that he's a dictator not a leader. A great leader consults his advisors and then takes decisive action. Mr Allam says one thing and then does another. His marketing strategy seems highly ambiguous and confusing. His public appearances are bizzare and bewildering. His discourse is full of hubris and dismissive of stakeholders in the club. He shows no attempt to repair the bridges that he burns.

I submit however that he has backed the manager to the hilt to date.
