Need to pay attention to the other papers, too - the ones that aren't reporting this story much, like the Express, the Mirror, the Mail. There's only one reason they wouldn't be splashing a competitor's misfortune over their front pages. This country doesn't deserve a free press, and the press don't deserve self-regulation. Personally I'm now comparing Freesat with Virgin because I can't stomach the thought of giving Sky any more of my money. It's not just the NotW or News International. The entire News Corp. portfolio is a hive of scum and villainy.

Not everybody buy's or reads Murdoch's publications, me, I never buy a newspaper of any sort, whats the point. The problem is WE have no power, the state is so well set up in this country that the mostly apathetic public are unable to mass demonstrate any serious objection's. Look what happened in London the last time a large demonstration took place, police and baton's everywhere, and the demonstrators got boxed in, zero result. Me, I'm totally ****ing pissed off with the with the manner in which the Murdoch issues are being handled, they should have been arrested, questioned, and charged by now, but Oh, No, Cameron is considering what to do next, not to mention the filthy coppers who were paid for the telephone numbers of those 7th July victims, WTF is going on.

I would like to see quite a few people at NOTW and News Corp do some jail time for this, though I'm pretty sure they won't. How many other dirty tactics do they use? If they are willing to hack families mourning the loss of their dead children, then I'm pretty sure they up to their knees in other forms of obtaining information to. I never did buy the NOTW and I will not be buying it again. But just looking into News Corp and the ammount of pies they have their fingers in is quite remarkable! NOTW, The Sun, HarperCollins publishers, The times, The Sunday Times, the New York Post, Dow Jones & Company, The Wall Street Journal, Vogue (Australia), GQ (Australia), MySpace, 50% of National Rugby League in Australia, Fox Broadcasting Company, 20th Century Fox movies & TV, A portion of ITV, Sky UK, Italy, Germany & Latin America. You can see why he is the butt of a lot of jokes in the Simpsons portraying him as a greedy, money driven, tyrant.
the milly dowler stuff is the most likely to get serious jail time as they must be looking at obstruction of justice, wasting police time/resources etc etc
