I got slagged off for saying something similar. To be fair, the ACON waffle by itself would get most players in a certain amount of hot water with the fans. Also to be fair, I have slagged off a number of different players over the years. Townsend comes to mind recently, and I'm happy to say he's changed my mind about him. But while I recognize it's a free world, I can't understand booing anybody in a Spurs shirt at a game. Quite aside from the fact it can't help our team's fortunes, I couldn't call myself a Spurs supporter if I did that. Why not find another pasttime than being a Spurs supporter if I don't feel like actually supporting Spurs? The fans I admire and would like to emulate are the ones who sing all game while their team is getting mullered. I think the idea that we should have moved Ade on during the transfer window certainly had its merits. But he's still here. And as unlikely as it may seem right now, this season's fortunes may end up depending on him. All it will take is an injury to Kane, and possibly not even that. COYS!
Never understood booing your own...no matter how twatty they behave or how badly they play. If Adebayor comes on as a sub and scores a late equaliser those booing are gonna look like right twonks! Coys
Ade scored a hell of a lot of goals for Arsenal against Spurs but not so many for Spurs against anyone. I just cannot see him being effective in this fixture at all, just a waste of space.
I agree to be honest...think he was decent between december and april last year but apart from that he has been shockingly bad since Harry left. Think I remember him playing well after 20 mins v chelsea at the bridge in april 2013. My point was if the manager decides to play him booing him is counter productive and (if by some miracle) he does deliver what will those booing do? But like I said Thor...I agree with your view of his contribution if used today. Coys
BT showing the 4 all draw from 2008 at arsenal. what a great match that was! Bentley's goal, crass, suicidal defending, goons chanting "1 nil and you **** it up" and giving it the "olay" to every pass when they were 4-2 up with 2 mins left...feeling heart broken when modric hit the post to ecstasy when the rebound went to lennon. and the melt down by the arsenal players and wenger at the end was joyous and on the old 606 the gooners meltdown was fantastic. watching Adebayor in that match it is amazing how little of that commitment he has shown since that time. Gomez was at his worse as was Hutton. Bale looked out of his depth...i kind of forget just how far his confidence had dived after he got that terrible injury a few months after joining us. And how I loved having Jenas in NLD's...always seemed to score important goals against them...
Tottenham Hotspur @Spurs_MAS 15 mins15 minutes ago .@Jan_Vertonghen "It’s the North London derby. The longer you're here the more you understand about this game". #COYS
Goons and media seem very confident in a gooner win...tbh i agree with them...am hoping we can get a draw like at the emirates...I can not see us keeping a clean sheet today and the problem will be if they score first...they will just sit back and hit us on the break...that's effectively what happened in all 3 meetings last season. If we score first they won't be able to just sit back. They are very confident due to winning away to city and like i said i can not see them losing today
When are you EVER confident RCL? We are also on the up and have a decent string of results and growing understanding in the team. AND we have the PL's leading goalscorer.
That my dedication to both all things spurs and Victor Meldrew...at 48 I am really embracing being an old moany git
Just heard on 5 live, the goons are running late, the coach is stuck in traffic!,you think they would know what the traffic is like, then again, they couldwalk from theemirates to the Lane quicker
they've done that a few times in the past...think they did it at the cup semi final at the lane in 2007 and 2008
am watching the build up on BT sport...the Fletch and Savage show or something...christ it's so bad it's like an advert for sky some team news Dier in for Fazio Bentaleb in for Paulinio Adebayor ain't even on the bench welbeck replaces walcott
